Ramiro thought that Carlos was really gone. The officers said drop your weapons and one of the men shot one of the officers and the officers and SWAT killed 2 of the 4 men. The other ran off as they let Ramiro go and one of the officers called for medical attention towards Carlos and the officer named Jamal Jackson took Ramiro home and rang the door bell but it took Ramiro's mother a while to answer the door because the fact that she was folding laundry and when she answered the door and saw that Ramiro was with a New York Police Officer she was afraid that Ramiro had did something terribly wrong but when the officer had explained everything Ramiro's mother was devastated about what had happened and hugged Ramiro and Ramiro told his mother "I wish it was me instead". "Don't say that sweet heart". After nearly 45 minutes later the officer finally left after questioning Ramiro his mother called Carlos's mother but his father Joey had answered the phone and said "Hey Maria how is Ramiro". "Um not so good" said Maria. After nearly 20 minutes of explaining what happened Joey said that he would call Carlos's mother and explain to her and hung up.
As Maria walked into Ramiro's room and Ramiro said "I know you said be safe". His mother was just lucky enough to have her son with her because she said "I don't want to lose you the same way I lost your father". As she hugged Ramiro.
"Let's try to go to sleep peacefully okay" said Maria.
"Yes mother" said Ramiro as played down in his bed under the sheets and closed his eyes his mother wishing him a good night and going to sleep herself.
