It took until noon the next day of non-stop, and by the time we got there I was so tired I could barely stand. I walked up to the front door of the shelter and knocked, being mindful that bill was asleep in my arms. It didn't take but a few minutes for a women to answer the door. She looked older so she must be a volunteer. "how may I help you?" She asked in a soft voice. "I-is this the homeless teens shelter?" I asked trying to keep my voice steady. "Yes. Do you need a room" I simply answer with a nod. She smiles down at me and bill and starts walking inside. I follow her to a spare room right down the hall from the door. "Here you are sir, I will send one of the managers down in a little bit. You look tired, get some sleep." I nod and she turns to leave. "oh," she starts before walking out "Welcome to our shelter you two" I smile as I lay down, bill laying next to me. I have a home now, was my last thought before my vision faded to black.
