Song: 'Burn' by Usher
Lyrics: "Tell me why I should stay in this relationship. When I'm hurting baby, I ain't happy baby"
------------------------------------------------------Break-Up
Work was absolutely horrible. My boss was simply a jackass and is making everyone work late again, as usual.
But this time is was a bit different. Today is my boyfriend's birthday and now I have to call him and cancel our plans for the night. Grabbing my phone from my dark blue purse I dialed Sal's number. It rang about three times before he actually picked up. "Hey (Y/N)." Sal greeted with excitement. "Hey babe, listen...I have some bad news." I told him, taking off my black blazer. "What? What's going on?" I took in a deep breath before continuing, "I can't make it tonight. Roberts has us all working late again. I'm so so sorry."
Silence filled the other end of the phone. I knew that he was devistated and honestly who could blame him? "Sal?" I called, making sure he was still on the other side of the phone. "Yeah?" He sighed. "I'm really sorry baby. I didn't mean for this to happen." "I know, I know. I'll...uh...I'll see you when you get home. Bye" "Sal." I said. But it was too late, he had already hung up.
I finally arrived home around twelve-thirdy in the morning.
Unlocking the door I was greeted with only dead silence. The lights were off so I assumed Sal was upstairs sleeping. I made my way to our shared bedroom.
There he layed, sprawled out and snoring quietly on our bed. Crawling underneath the white sheets I whispered, "Sal...Sal...Sal." Opening his tired green eyes he yawned. Looking at me I swore I saw disappointment written on his face.
"Well your home early." He said sarcasticly, turning on the lamp that layed by his side of the bed. "Sal, baby I'm sorry. It's not my fault Roberts was making me work late." I stated, scooting closer to him. "You missed my birthday (Y/N). You told me that you weren't gonna be working tonight." I placed my hands on his shoulders but he just shrugged them off. "Sal I understand that your mad, but what did you want me to do?" "Say no, (Y/N). Just say no." "I can't do that Sal. If you haven't notcied this is my career. If I want to make Senior VP then I have to do things that I don't like. I'm gonna have to make sacrifices. I'm gonna have to give things up." I told him, getting a bit annoyed.
" 'Give things up' huh?" Sal repeated, getting out of our bed and began to put on his shoes. "Sal what are you doing?" I asked, growning more and more worried by the second.
"Well if you have to give things up then I'm sure it'll be very easy for you to give up this relationship." Sal told me before walking downstairs. Getting up off the bed, I followed him. "Sal your being ridiculous." "No, what's ridiculous is the fact that now I practically have to beg you to spend some time with me. I mean what kind of boyfriend has to make an appointment to sleep with his girlfriend? I'm outta here." With those last words Sal left. I walked back into the bedroom and finally let the tears flow free.

Make-up
Knock, Knock, Knock. I woke up to the sound of someone pounding on my front door. Groaning, I woke up from my tired state. Eyes red and puffy, cheeks tear stained from crying all night.
I never meant for this to happen at all. The knocking continued, getting louder each time.
Walking downstairs and opening the door I was greeted with a concern looking Q. "(Y/N)." His face expression softens as he takes in my poor and sad appearance. "Can I...uh...come in?" He added. Moving aside I let him in. "What's going on Q?" I asked, plastering on a fake smile. "It's Sal. He's....he's not doing so good." Q said truthfully as he sat down on my black leather couch.
"(Y/N) you two really need to talk and work things out. I mean he's a mess without you." Q continued. "Well he's the one who walked out on me. He's the one who ended our relationship in the first place." I told him, eyes watering up again as the memory of last night came rushing through my mind. "Look, I know Sal and I know that he loves you. And you love him. It's obvious that you both were meant for each other. Just please talk to him." I took a breath, taking in the jokers word. "Okay Q, I'll talk to him."
Entering Q's home I went straight to the guest room. I knocked on the door just to see if Sal was awake. "Go away Q." He snarled from the other side. "It's not Q." I stated, worried that he wouldn't let me in.
Hearing the click of the doorknob, it opened slowly, revealing a sad looking Sal.
"Oh baby." I blurted. "I'm so sorry." "No, no (Y/N). I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted the way that I did." He said, pulling me in for a hug. "Sal I'm sorry I missed your birthday and I have every intention of making it up to you but just please come home." I practically begged. He smiled and gave me a gentle kiss on the lips. "I love you (Y/N)." This time it was my turn to smile, "I love you too Sal."
