"Live in five, four, three, two..."

Annabeth's hands tightened around the microphone. The music began to play, fast and loud. She waited until the familiar beat came and then started to sing.

"You went up to me
Cos you think you're so cool
Well I'm done with the drama
You're just another boy
The day we talked, we cried
And fire crept up the mountainside
Running and running from you"

Annabeth went straight into the next verse, pouring her heart and soul out into the song.

"We messed up pretty bad
Caught it on camera, that's sad
Oh no - o - o
That's bad - ad - ad
We messed up pretty bad
You tried to fix it, I got mad
Oh yeah - ah - ah
That's sad - ad - ad.

"I wish we could just be friends
But no one seems to believe us when we pretend
We try to tell them 'no'
But they keep telling us 'yes'

"I hate seeing you
But you love seeing me
Why can't I just say that
I messed up
And we play again

"We messed up pretty bad
Caught it on camera, that's sad
Oh no - o - o
That's bad - ad - ad
We messed up pretty bad
You tried to fix it, I got mad
Oh yeah - ah - ah
That's sad - ad - ad

"I wish we could just be friends
But no one seems to believe us everyday
We try to tell them 'no'
But they keep telling us 'yes'

"Yeah!"

Annabeth flipped her hair and kept singing. Even though she knew that the internet would blow up again over this song, she couldn't help but enjoy the moment.

"This is a war raging on inside my head
The fates must choose
While I can see a problem
You can't get your head around it now."

Annabeth lowered the voice so she was almost whispering the next bit.

"I messed up
I messed up
Ooh, I messed up.

"I wish we could just be friends
But no one seems to believe us when we hang out
We try to tell them 'no'
But they keep telling us 'yes'

"We messed up pretty bad
Caught it on camera, that's really really sad
Oh no - o - o
Oh yeah - ah - ah
That's bad (we can't stop them now)

"We messed up pretty bad
We messed up pretty bad

"I wish we could just be friends
But no one ever seems to believe us when we pretend - end - end
We tell them 'no' - o - o
But they tell us 'yeah' - ah - ah

"I messed up pretty bad
Oh, I messed up."

The song was finally over and Annabeth drew away from the microphone almost hesitantly. She almost missed it.

"And that was Annabeth Chase, everyone! After the break, we have Luke Castellan in the studio, and Lacy is back with her new hot fashion tip of the week!"

The cameras cut off and Annabeth made her way over to the dressing rooms again. But sitting on her couch in her dressing room was who she least expected.

•Flashback•

"Annabeth, this is Luke Castellan."

"Hi! I'm Annabeth." Annabeth smiled and shook the blonde man's hand.

"Welcome to the set. I assume you're playing Sam?"

"Indeed I am."

"If you're nervous, don't worry. I'll help you."

The pair walked onto the film set. They took up their positions and recited their lines. Annabeth was playing Luke's sister, and she only had a small part which required two scenes.

Fast forward a few months after they met during filming for the movie, Annabeth comforted Luke as he dealt with his breakup with Thalia Grace, their best friend.

The two knew they had feelings for each other, but they were hesitant to speak up about them.

They hung out all the time. Eventually, when Annabeth's first hit Victors sent her spiralling up to fame, they stopped seeing each other. Though they talked occasionally, it wasn't as much as they used to.

•Flashback over•

This was the first time in five months that Annabeth had seen his face right in front of her. She was stunned. "Luke? What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Nice song." Luke smirked. "Was it about me?"

Annabeth's cheeks flushed. Even after they'd been friends for over two years, she still had a major crush on him.

"It's none of your business who it's about."

"Well Annie," Luke stood up to stand in front of her. He was tall; taller than her even, and he placed an arm on her shoulder. "I was wondering if you would accompany me to see a movie tonight."

Annabeth's heart beat faster and faster. "Like, a date?"

"Of course. What else would it be?"

Annabeth smiled up at him. "It's a date."

"Is seven okay?"

"Seven is perfectly fine."
