Chapter 1

"Gramps, who's Ace?" asked Luffy.

I looked at Garp, who wants me to call him Granddad, anxiously waiting to find out who this 'Ace' is.

Granddad punched Luffy on the head," I told you to call me granddad," he yelled.

"Ow..." Luffy complained.

"Granddad," I looked up at the bearded man with a smile, "Where are we going?"

He smiled, "Just see."

I nodded.

Then he started blabbering about how we are gonna be great Marines.

We were at some sort of cabin while Granddad Garp and some old orange haired hag were arguing.

Luffy was running around like a crazy idiot. I smiled, maybe I liked him just a tiny bit. (Or a little more than tiny.)

I looked to the side to see a boy with freckles and dark hair. He looked... mad.

He used a spit gun-thingy to shoot some spit at Luffy.

"Hey!" Luffy yelled.

I was about to go follow him,
"Y/n come here."

I looked back to see Garp signalling me to go to him.

I walked to him and he sighed, patted my head, and looked down at me.

"I need you to take care of Luffy, sure he's an idiot, and he runs off a lot, and I need you to be there when he runs off. He's gonna get hurt by himself. Your strong, use your strength, train, and please, take care of him."

I nodded,"I will Granddad!"
He smiled down at me and began walking away.

I turned the other way to begin running after Luffy but he was already back. Ace was back too.

"Hurry up you damn kids and take a bath!" yelled the woman Granddad called 'Dadan.'

I sighed and began walking in, the other two not far behind.

The two boys took a bath first, then I did.

I walked out of the "bathroom" and into the room where they were eating.

Everyone was jumping at the giant pile of meat. Ace has his own Mini pile that nobody dared to touch.

"Ace kills the food, he gets his share," said Dadan.

Luffy couldn't get any food so I decided to get one for him. I carefully squeezed through everyone and grabbed a handful of meat.

I walked to Luffy who looked sad because he couldn't eat any meat.

I handed him the meat(s) with a smile.

He smiled a big smile, "Thanks
Y/n, but what about you?"

"I'm not hungry Luffy, you can eat it."

Luffy being the rubberhead he is, ate it without a second guess.

I smiled and let out a yawn. I stretched my arms out.

I sat next to Luffy who was patting his now inflated belly. I decided to go talk to Ace.

"Hey Luffy, Imma go see if Ace over there has a voice," I said pointing to Ace.

He nodded.

I walked over to Ace and sat down next to him. It was... Awk.ward.

I sighed, "Ace? Right?"

He looked at me, his eyes were so... cold.

I smiled and he continued eating as I weren't there.

"Ace... who are you really..."

He stopped eating and looked at me.

"I see it in your eyes, you know who your parents are, they're strong, you hate them, or maybe only one of them, your no ordinary orphan."

His eyes were wide in shock.

Maybe I rang a bell in his head. I sighed, "A proper introduction."

"My name's Y/n, Y/n L/n. Nice to meet you, I hope we can be friends," I smiled at him.

He continued eating as if I weren't there...again...

I sighed and went back to Luffy, "No use."

Luffy opened his mouth before being interrupted by Dadan, "Time to sleep!"

I smiled and got up. Luffy got up too.

Everyone went to there ...beds... and went to sleep.

Dadan picked Luffy up and I walked behind Dadan not wanting to get thrown.

"This is where you sleep," she opened a door, inside was Ace. I walked into the room as She threw Luffy in, "Now sleep!" She slammed the door.

Luffy fell asleep right away.

She reopened the door, "WHAA ALREADY?!"

I couldn't help but smile. I let out another yawn and I decided to lay down next to Luffy.

I closed my eyes falling asleep to the sound of silence.
