11 Spying

Sae Yeon POV

On the way to the bar, the car ride was weirdly awkward between Min Hyuk and me. We usually have a really easygoing talk about anything, but we didn't do that. When we parked, I was about to walk out until he grabbed my arm, "Are we ever going to be the same as before?" Our eyes met, but I just walked out. I couldn't let anyone shake me up, at least not right now. Min Hyuk followed behind me and kept trying to talk to me as we found a way to spy on Hyun Woo and his... Girlfriend.

"Are you not going to answer my question?"
"..."
"Am I the only one here that wants us back together?"
"..."
"You serious?"
"..."
"Sae Yeon, does it not bother you that Hyun Woo has been cheating on you?"

I stopped in my tracks. "Are you in the position to be asking me that? After you talked to Hyo Jin in 8th grade?"
"Look, I don't want to sound messed up or anything but in my defense-- you were engaged to Luhan. I was an 8th grader, I was convinced you were going to marry him straight after graduation! I didn't even know you liked me back then."
"I was really obvious, Min Hyuk. You don't understand, boy. I've never liked someone like I liked you and there you were acting like another person one morning after I looked at a text? What--"

Min Hyuk grabbed me and pushed us around the corner. I looked over and saw a girl coming out of the door (it was the back door) and throwing out trash. That must be his girlfriend. When she went back inside, Min Hyuk and I creeped over and looked through the window. Although a lot of liquor bottles were in the way, we managed to spot Hyun Woo. He was drinking while that girl was in front of him, I'm guessing flirting. We just sat there spying and spying only to realize that Hyun Woo was never gonna get drunk, and that girl is never going to stop talking to him.

"You know what, it's getting dark. Let's come back tomorrow or something, Sae Yeon!"
"No, no, I can't. I--"
"Wait, you said he told you he'd be back in 3 hours, but it's already like 9PM. Is that him inside?"
"Yeah... It is. Should I call him?"
"Try."

*calling "Hyunnie<3"*
I saw Min Hyuk rolling his eyes at the sight of Hyun Woo's contact name. It was a weird perspective for me, but what was weirder was why I was smiling at it. 'Whatever...'
"Yes, baby?"
"Hyun Woo, where are you now? It's 9 already."
"Oh, my bad, babe. I got sidetracked at my friend's place--"
"Who?"
"You don't know him. I'll introduce him later, but I'm sorry for not getting the food for your fridge. If it makes you feel better, I'll cook for you when I get back to your house."
"..." I looked inside and saw Hyun Woo's eyes meet mine. My eyes widened as he stood up and walked towards the back door, "Min Hyuk, hide. I think he recognized me." He hid.
"Oh, uh, Sae Yeon. I'm gonna have to call you back, family emergency."
*hangs up*

'Family emergency? What is he talking about? I thought he knew I'm here!'

I turned away so I wasn't facing him. "Hey, beautiful, what's your name? I saw you staring earlier while I was on the phone." He really doesn't know it's me...!

"Um, I have a boyfriend."
"You're lying." 'Crap, did he notice it was me?'
"..."
"You're lying because there's no way your boyfriend would've let you just walk around these streets alone! Terrible boyfriend might I add. Say, how about you and me hang out inside for the night? I'll pay."

I tried to keep quiet and ignore him, but I just kept panicking inside. I was about to make a run for it, but he grabbed my arm before I could move at all. "Yo, are you even listening to me?"

I'm so screwed.
