30 minutes Soldier. 30 minutes is all you have to kill him.

Metals collided, punches thrown, bullets fired, wounds opened. Steve didn't want to clash with Bucky, the love of his life as well as his best friend, in a fight for the kill. But Steve doesn't know how long he could keep this without having to harm him. Since the attack, Steve has been on the defensive side in order to keep Bucky from being injured but sometimes, even though he tried not to, a few hits can't be helped. Steve thought that maybe, just maybe, this time he will succeed in protecting Bucky, just like how he protected Steve once. Even it's from himself.

The Winter Soldier was wiped the day before to ensure no disturbances in the fight. HYDRA seemed successful once again as they watched the fight outside of the stolen helicarrier. His movements were fast, nimble, and agile. He hit his opponent every chance he got without mercy. So full with the aim to kill yet empty inside. They were confident of his skills, sharpened by every body that fell beneath his hands, adorned with the dripping blood of his victims. They knew that the Asset was a very good assassin. What they didn't know was the existence of a turmoil inside his mind.

Punch. Stop. Fire. Don't! Stab. Stop it! The Winter Soldier did his best on ignoring the voice at the back of his mind that seemed to shout at him with every hit he delivered on his target. But it appeared as usual, his best wasn't enough. He knew that that voice...or whatever it was, affected his combat skills no matter how unapparent it was in someone else's point of view. With every hole he found in the Captain's defense, he tried to squeeze in and take the chance to kill him but he missed. Every. Single. Time. Maybe the target was just really good at defense. Maybe he was losing his touch. Maybe it was because of the nagging voice that seemed to shout louder and louder with each blow. It made him a little confused if he really should continue on killing this man. But he already made up his mind from the moment the HYDRA agents gave him Captain America's file. He would definitely kill him. He was his mission.

"Bucky," Steve whispered to himself brokenly. Bucky. A name that held so many joyful memories of the past and painful ones of the present. A name whose owner itself has forgotten. And it was his fault; atleast that's what Steve thought. With the self-blame always came a throwback of that fateful day. That day when Steve lost his best friend only to be returned to him many years later as someone who was tortured, lost a limb, and forgot who he really was. Steve could've done something. He should've never let him fall. He could've jumped with him, embraced him and maybe protected him from the impact. He could've been there when HYDRA found him. But he wasn't. No matter how he wished he could've done this and that, he cannot change the past. All he's left with now was the bitter present that was before his eyes.

"Crap!" Steve exclaimed as Bucky caught his shield in his moment of inattention, forced it out of his grip and threw it away like a frisbee before pinning Steve to the ground, his body above him. The position held a rather...explicit memory with Bucky that he treasured very much along with many others.

"Steve," the brunette teasingly nipped on Steve's neck. "open your legs love."

"I-I...but--" Steve stammered, heart hammering in his chest in a mix of eagerness, nervousness, and insecurity. It was a bad combination. A very, very bad combination.

"Should we stop? It's okay you know. I can wait. For years even," Bucky assured Steve with his usual charming smile that made the blonde's heart beat a little bit faster.

"NO!" Steve exclaimed suddenly, surprising himself and Bucky. He flushed and tried to form a follow-up sentence. "I-I...it's j-just. Um. Because..." Steve's gaze settled in every direction per no more than a second and bit his bottom lip. He was making a fool of himself.
