"Are you sure you didn't get the note?" I asked Nicole.

"Positive," She said.

"Oh my gawd," I said shaking my head. "My life is over."

"Did you put your name on the paper?" She asked.

"No. Why?" I asked.

"Your life isn't over," She said.

"How do you figure?" I asked.

"Whoever got the paper doesn't know you're the one who wrote it," She said.

"True," I said relieved. "Thank god."

We walked to our lockers and packed up to go home.

"Walk?" She asked.

"Walk," I said.

We usually ride the bus home unless one of us has something important to talk to the other about. Apparently today she needed to talk to me about something.

"I'm gonna ask you the questions that were on the note," She said. "Is that okay?"

"Uggh," I said. "Fine."

"Okay," She laughed. "How old are you?"

"Sixteen," I said. "Don't you know that?"

"Now," She said.

"Wow. Okay, next question," I said.

"Are you virgin?" She asked.

"Do I need to answer this?" I asked.

"Yes," She said. "Yes you do."

"Oh my god," I said. "Yes."

"Cool. Um.. what was the next question?" She asked.

"Do I want to have sex?" I said.

"Do you?" She asked.

"Duh. I don't wanna be some seventy-nine year old virgin. I mean really." I laughed.

"Okay," She laughed. "Who with?"

"Jaord," I said blushing. "Jarod Shaw."

"Aww. You're blushing!" She exclaimed. "Does he kow?"

"No! And I hope it stays that way!" I exclamined. "Shut up."

We walked into my driveway and stopped.

"Your grandparents are here," She frowned. "Bye."

"What? No..." I pulled her back. "You're coming with me."

"No I'm not," She pulled away. "Call me."

"Fine. Bye," I said laughing.

"Bye," She said waving.
