Ring Ring Ring went the phone while i waited for Emilly to answer the phone. A sleepy hello came through the phone. " Hey Emiily, it's me, Alex." I said in a hurried voice. "Oh hey Alex" she yawned "what's up? Oh my God, I just noticed the time, why are you calling so early?" I took a big breath and started at it. "Something happened to Jose, well I'll just say it. He got into an accident and i don't think he's gonna make it...They said no suspect has been found. I'm sorry." I instantly heard sobbing on the other side of the line. "Meet me at the hospital, I'll text you where to go." Soon I got to the hospital, and told her to meet me in the emergency waiting room. My Mother, Father, Emiily and I sat there as tired as can be, waiting for the news from the doctor. Emiily and I fell asleep on each other. I awoke to some shuffling and the saw the doctor talking to my parents. Trying to make out what he said, all I heard was "operating on him...he'll make it." I thought that my brother was going to be fine, that Jose was going to be able to come home and everything will be okay. I stood up, woke up Emiily and asked my mom exactly what he said, "the doctor said that they're operating on him and there is a high chance that he'll be brain dead, and a low chance that he'll make it. I sat down, taking in what just happened while I heard sobbing coming from Emiily. Although we've had problems in the past, I hugged her because i can only imagine how it feels to love her first love and bestfriend.
