Chapter 6

Jessica's P.O.V

"Cool." I faintly said looking at the lighting. "Yeah," Louis said sitting next to me. We heard a rumble. A minuet, later we saw lighting and heard the thunder. The girls screamed. I was focused on the weather outside. Not even noticing, I leaned on Louis and he moved his hand on my thigh. I was mesmerized. I never really cared about the weather but recently London's has been having some shaky weather. "Are you ok love?" Louis looked at me worriedly. "What? No I just-" Another streak of lighting was seen. "The weather. It's so weird. Earlier today, it was snowing and now it's a crazy storm." I said slowly just now realizing how we were staring into each others eyes. His eyes were glowing. I never seen eyes like his. "The lights." Liam said shaking me and Louis. "Oh. Yeah."

We looked away not wanting to. "I guess we are staying here tonight." Liam said not sounding disappointed. "Where are we gonna sleep?" Rebecca Layla and Zayn said together. "Jinx!" Zayn and Layla said. "Call it of" Zayn looked at Layla and they both started laughing. "Anyway, I need my beauty rest." They both said again. "Guys just shut up." Harry said. "Well we can get the generator from the garage." Rebeca stated. "Yeah. But it only lights up one room." Lauren replied. "Well, being that food can spoil, you should hook the generator to the kitchen." Niall answered. "Then we can all sleep down here in the living den." I offered.

"Yeah. We can get the blankets and such and all sleep down here!" Louis exclaimed backing me up. "Ok." Every one said. Me and Lou high-fived. "We can build a little fort with some blankets and sofa cushions!" I whisper-yelled my five year old thought to Louis. He grinned from ear to ear. "Rebecca you know how to hook the generator up right?" Liam stammered. "Yeah! You can help!" She said linking arms with Liam and skipped to the garage. "Hey I wanna help!" Lauren and Harry yelled. "Shall we?" Harry leaned to Lauren and gave her his elbow so they can skip away. And that's what they did. "Hey we should get the duvets and pillows from all the rooms!" I shouted. So the rest of us except Layla and Zayn ran to the rooms. "Ok grab as many pillows and blankets an duvets you can and throw them down stairs. I'll set up." Louis whispered in my ear making my whole body shiver with excitement. Layla and Zayn were sitting in the dark kitchen talking to each other.

I run into my room and go in my closet and grab every single blanket duvet and pillow I have and run out of my room and I throw it at Louis and he catches it and runs away beginning to build out fort. I run back to my room and grab two flashlights and run back out to help Lou. Yeah. That's what I'm gonna call him Lou or Louie.

"We should take the sofa cushions and build it a little taller and I can get mor duvet to tie it up." I tell Louis and he nods with agreement.

BOOM!

More thunder and lighting. Great. I'm gonna freak before I go to sleep. The thunder and lighting bring back memories.

FLASHBACK.

It was Friday and I was walking to school. I was singing a random song and I saw my best friend Layla sitting on the curb. "Hey Layla, you ok?" I question hating to see her upset. "I-I- don't t know what ha-happened to my mu-mum." She stutterer. "Well we should get to school. You know what happens when we are tardy." I tell her and she gets up and smiles at me. "Jess, I don't know what I would do with out you."

As we walked to school, she explained what happened. It was something about someone coming in her house at night and she didn't see her mom in the morning but there was a note on the counter saying that she won't be back and she can go hang out with friends. And that's NOTHING like her mum. Her mum sometimes wouldn't even let Layla and I see each other. When we got around the corner from the school clouds started rolling in.

"At least we aren't far from the school." I pointed out to Layla. She nodded and we ran to the school so we wouldn't get caught in the rain. We walked in to first period which was math. Me and my friends Layla, Lauren, Rebecca, and Heather are in this class. I take my normal seat in the middle close to all of my friends. Rebecca had her head on her desk and her curls all over the place. She was crying. "Hey Becky, why so sad?" I ask her. She turned around and cried even more. "Hey, don't cry." I tell her wiping her tears. She picks up a piece of paper and slides it to me still crying. I read what it says.
