"What?" Rigby throws his paw over his mouth, looking anywhere but Mordecai. What had he just done?
Now what would he think of him? He had loved Mordecai for a long time now, since high school even. Rigby had always had stared at the avian from a distance before he had even met him, and he had finally got to meet him after he saved Rigby from a pack of bullies. He had told no one, not even Mordecai, but Nathan and his gang (they're the bullies) had given him anxiety for a long time. He had it before high school had started but Nathan had only seemed to worsen it. Whenever a panic attack was near, he would run up to his room and try calm himself. Now Rigby was in for it, Mordecai was staring him dead in the eye. "Mordecai, I-I"
He didn't get to finish as he felt a panic attack near. He started to sweat heavily and tremble, his eyes beginning to become filled with tears. Mordecai suddenly became more concerned for Rigby than what he had just said, rushing over to Rigby as his concern got the best if him. "Rigby? Rigby! What's happening to you?!" His eyes quickly filled with his own tears. Rigby held his head and started to scream. "Dude! Please speak to me!" He shoved the raccoon into his soft feathery chest in an attempt to calm him down. Fortunately, the tiny raccoons raspy breath became quieter and he stopped crying. Mordecai cradled him in his arms, momentarily hushing him if needed. He didn't realise how long he'd been there until he heard Rigby's quiet snores. He decided to place Rigby in his bed, it would be cruel to put him on his broken trampoline. After he made Rigby comfy he made his way out the room.

Mordecai's POV
-------------------
I left Rigby in my bed for the time being, I couldn't if put him in that old thing. What happened to him though? He just froze, started trembling and crying, not to mention the loud screaming. I was suddenly so scared, wanting to hold him against me, make him feel better. To my surprise it worked, and I managed to get him to sleep. I make my way downstairs to tidy up, only to find Skips watching me. "I'm guessing Rigby was having a panic attack, am I right" he said in his usually low gravelly voice, his eyes scanning me for a more info. All I can do is pull a confused face, which I think Skips quickly picks up on, then he returns my expression. "What? You didn't know?" "Know what?" "About Rigby's anxiety? C'mon Mordecai, your his best friend, I thought you would of picked up on this by now". Anxiety? It all makes sense. Him always running off with the excuse of the toilet, then coming back looking like he hasn't slept all night. Why didn't I realize it sooner? " Wait Skips, how did YOU know?" Skips just shrugged. "I could hear him screaming from down here, and I can hear him from my own place sometimes, and cause of the way he's so jittery all the time, poor kid". I feel awful, how could I miss it? I should've paid more attention to my best friend than Margaret. I felt Skips put his large hand on my shoulder, making one side of my body sag. "Don't beat yourself up about it". He removes his hand then he skipped off. With nothing else to do I tidy up the house then clean the dishes. I decide to make me and Rigby some food, leaving Rigby's at the end of the bed. Then I go downstairs again to play video games, although there's not much point without Rigby.

Rigby's POV
----------------
I wake up to the smell of grilled cheese, then see a sandwich at the end of my bed. Mordecai must've made it for me, and he put me in his bed too. (I actually found out that Mordecai uses Rigby's mattress as well as his own XD)
Now remembering Mordecai, I remember my panic attack and him comforting me through it. Why did I have to have one then? Jeez, its too embarrassing. I can't even eat my sandwich, partly cause its gone cold. The thing is, what am I gonna say to Mordecai? Obviously he's gonna want to know what happened, and also why I told him I love him. My head hurts just thinking bout it. I'll just go downstairs, hopefully he won't be there.

Normal POV
----------------
Rigby quietly makes his way down the stairs on all fours, being sure not to alert any attention. As he makes his way towards the door, he reaches out to grab the door handle. "Where you going in such a rush, dude?" Shit, he WAS here. Mordecai can be really sneaky when he wants to. "Oh, hey dude, I was just gonna go out for some fresh air" "Nah, come play video games with me, it'll be fun". Mordecai pats the seat next to him, followed by Rigby gingerly walking over to the old couch. As he plops himself down, Mordecai turns to look at him, looking at Rigby's face. "Feel better now?" Rigby shrugs "Could be better, but y'know" All the bird does in reply is shrug, and passes Rigby a controller. Hours later the duo are still playing videogames, but none of them have said a word, apart from asking which game to play next or what food they'll have. Mordecai speaks up. "So dude, what was earlier about? You were sweating and crying. You were shaking real bad". Rigby freezes again, thinking of an answer. Mordecai answers for him. "You have anxiety, don't you?" Now Mordecai is looking at Rigby, trying to connect with his friends wondering eyes. Rigby looks straight into the bluejays eyes now, exploring Mordecai's concern. Finally, he sighs and chokes out
"Y-yes" "Why didn't you say something sooner?" "I didn't want to worry you". Mordecai is a little taken back. Rigby has always been known to be selfish, greedy and silly most the time. But this new outpour of emotions, no one would of ever expected something like that from someone like Rigby. In most ways, Mordecai is attracted to this new side of Rigby. "OK, thanks". Mordecai warmly smiles at his friend, which is returned. Then Mordecai remembers something else. "What about that thing you said?" "What thing?" Rigby begins to drink his soda. "That thing, that you love me?" Rigby chokes and coughs on his drink. "I-I never said anything like that". Rigby replies, his voice covered thickly in uncertainty. Mordecai tilts his head, edging closer to his friend. "Yes, you did, I remember you saying it". This was to much for Rigby, he felt himself sweating and shaking, not as much as before though. "Rigby," Mordecai is so close Rigby can feel his breath. "Are you in love with me?" Mordecai questions his furry pal.
Rigby gulps, there's no way out of this now, its now or never. "Yes..."
Mordecai brings both his wings to Rigby's face. "That's all I needed to hear" Mordecai lowers his beak to Rigby's mouth and kisses him.
All Rigby can do is sit there, shocked at the sudden actions from Mordecai, and push him away gently. "Is this what you really want? What about Margaret? Don't you like her?" Rigby eyes scan Mordecai as he takes a deep breath. "Margaret...Margaret was a cover up about how I really felt. I did like her, but I started liking you. I love you, I was just scared tha-" Mordecai is cut of by Rigby, who has just kissed him again, then the raccoon pulls away again. "That I wouldn't accept you? Same here". Rigby smiles cockily "Didn't know you were the type of person who'd
be gay". Mordecai rolls his eyes and smiles. "Do you want another kiss or not?" Rigby blushes. "Thought so". Mordecai finishes after kissing Rigby.

The next morning
----------------------
Rigby eyes stir as he is quickly blinded by the sun coming through the window. He slowly sits up, realising him and Mordecai must of fallen asleep on the couch. Wait, were was Mordecai? Rigby scanned the room, then quickly taking in the familiar smell of bacon. He walked over to the kitchen, his tiny feet tapping every step. He finds Mordecai making bacon pancakes (Reference to something). Mordecai whirls around to see who it is, then he has a warm smile on his face. "Hey dude, sleep well?" "Yeah actually, one of the best night sleeps I've ever had". Mordecai blushes and kneels down to kiss Rigby. "Well I'm glad, now sit, I made you pancakes". Rigby chuckles Mordecai's eagerness. Man, he was so lucky to have Mordecai as his friend, maybe even as his boyfriend. "So Mordecai," "Yeah?" Mordecai places Rigby's food down. "Thanks. So...are we a couple now or..?" Mordecai looks at Rigby, placing his head on his hands. "Well, it depends. Do you wanna be a couple?" Rigby nods his head. "Then were a couple". Mordecai says, ruffling his new boyfriends hair. Rigby smiles, then frowns. "What are you gonna do about Margaret?" Mordecai stops the forkful of pancake before he can eat it, and replies with. "I'll just have to say I wasn't happy in the relationship" "D'you think she'll take that well?" Mordecai looks him dead in the eye. "She's gonna have to". Rigby nods, then greedily munches down his pancakes.
After they finish their pancakes they set off to see what jobs they had. Benson looks up at everyone, surprised to see Mordecai and Rigby on time. "You guys aren't late today, did you get a girlfriend Rigby?" He sniggers. Rigby mumbles. "Guess you could say that...". Mordecai chuckles knowingly.
