BEEP! BEEP! My alarm clock sounded off at 12:00 p.m. I groaned and shut it off. I then heard a pitter patter upon my window. Startled by the unfamiliar sound, I grabbed my brother's baseball bat, and slowly creeped over to my window. I sighed in relief, but shock quickly washed over me when I realized that it was just jason. I sprinted to my bed and covered myself with a blanket. He snickered. "Shy are we?" I glared at him. " I am in my pajamas you idiot! Turn around!" I squealed. He once again snickered. "Just come on." He said tapping on my window as, to ask me to open it. I whimpered and slowly opened it. He helped me out of my window and poked my cheek. "I don't care what your PJs look like...now come on!" With this in mind we ran from my window to the forest where our friend lisa was waiting. Jason eyeballed me when we reached the entrance to the forest. " By the way, nice Pajamas!" He said laughing. "OH MY GOSH! You said you didn't care!!!" I said irritatedly. I stared at the entrance to the forest. I had once heard a story about a group of kids who went into this very forest, and never returned. I think it was only a scary story we were told to keep us out, but then again, what if it wasn't.

"Jason? What if the story we heard about this forest wasn't just a story? What if it is true?" I said grabbing his arm. "Come on. Do you really believe that hogwash? It was probably just to scare us away. I am sure we will be fine" He said pulling me through the entrance. "Okay...we should split up and meet back here when we find lisa." He said smiling. I nodded. We headed in opposite ways. I soon could no longer hear his footsteps. I was enjoying the scenery very much. It was a beautiful place! I kept looking around for lisa until suddenly I found a clearing. I sat on a boulder to rest for a bit. I then heard the sound of snapping twigs. I jumped up and ran to the middle of the clearing. The bushes began rustling. I grew very frightened. I screamed for jason and hugged myself. It was only a matter of seconds before jason rushed over to me and held me to him. "What happened!?" He asked me with wide eyes. "I think someone else is here....and they didn't sound friendly" I said holding onto his arm. Then a woman wearing a black, formfitting dress stood before us. Her hair was as black as her dress, and her skin as pale as snow. " you need not be frightened child. I mean you no harm. I am merely a passerby. I am embric, you are.?" she asked expectantly. " I-" Jason covered my mouth before I had a chance to finish. " I'm sorry but we do not have the time to chat." he said rather rudely.

When we were finally away from her I stopped. " Jason that was very rude!" I said. " well I had a really bad feeling about that woman." He said turning around. No sooner did he turn around, I was pushed and I rolled down a hill to my left. Jason came running after me and picked me up. "Are you okay?!"he asked me in worry. "yeah....I'm fine. I was pushed." He glared in the direction we came from. " lisa obviously isn't here. Maybe her dad caught her. Let's just go home."
