Thump, thump. Thump, thump. Thump, thump. Tears were streaming down her face. She'd found it. The heartbeat. The beat of life of her child. And he's missing it. He said he might take more time for his studies. But 4 more months was unbelievable, or even unbearable. She was sitting here, listening to the heartbeat of her child, without her own fiancé. And not to mention, she was bigger than ever. She had swelled to an unimaginable size, and only over the course of 6 months. She was over twice the size she was, and it was even harder to get and move around. She was nearly always drained of energy. But she didn't care right now. All she wanted, her desires yearning beyond all capacity, was to have her significant other sitting next to her listening to the soothing sound of her child. And to feel his warm embr---wait, she thought, what's that faint noise? And indeed she was correct. At the slightest quiver of sound that was ringing in the back of her mind and ringing also in her eardrums, she was curious about. Her mind gears whirred in her head, instantly recognizing the sound. She started sobbing even more now, the mirth mixing in with the sorrow as the realization crossed her mind: thump thump, thump thump, thump thump. But this wasn't the heartbeat of her child, it was the heartbeat of her second child.
