Chapter 3: Big New Day

I was like in heaven when I entered the Harrisland University.

I felt the joy and happiness and  because of that, I jumped and shouted happily at the same time.

I like to be in school because I want to study and to learn some things that I never know.

While I was daydreaming, I didn't know that I stepped to a foot.

"Oh! I am so sorry. I didn't mean to do that. Are you okay?" I said worriedly.

"What the fuck? Do you think I am okay in this condition? You know, you made my first day of school worst! Shit!" she said to me angrily.

"Do you need help?" I replied.

"Ew! I don't need any help from you! Queenie and Alex, lets go! Before this dangerous girl will step on our feet!" she said and then she and her friends left.

Many people saw that happening so they looked at me. I thinked that it was my most embarrassing moment ever in school. I almost cried but I forced myself not to cry because it's the first day of school and I promised to myself that this will be the best day ever.

Suddenly, I thinked that I should find my room. I almost quite forget about that.

So I went to the place where in there were the list of the students and their section and classroom and checked what is my section.

I found out that I was in the first section and I liked the name of our section. It was called 9 - Liberty then I suddenly cried. But it was called the "Tears of Joy".

When I found the number and section of my room, I went now inside my classroom and sat on a chair.

It was a little bit noisy because my new classmates kept on talking. I thinked that some of them knew each other. I was felt I was only one there in the classroom because I do not know anybody even one of my classmates. So I only read my book.

A few minutes later, somebody touched and said something to me.

" Hi! I am Kathleen Howards and this is my bestfriend, Emma Growll. It is nice to meet you and we'll be your new classmates! What's your name? Can we be friends? "

" Uhmmm, hi! My name is Mary Lockhart. Yes. I want to! Thanks for the opportunity! I'll promise that I would be a good friend to you. Cross my heart. Period."

"Welcome, Mary! I hope that so!" Emma said and smiled.

Then suddenly, our adviser went inside the classroom. So we greeted and sat on our chairs after that.

Then she introduced herself to us.

" Good morning students! I am your new class adviser. My name is Miss Hope Collins. Short for Ms. Collins. I am a good teacher but sometimes strict or I can even be a terror teacher if you all need that to be a good student. I am also gonna be your English teacher. Anyway, the first thing that we are gonna do today is introducing ourselves. Each of you will be going in front and answer these questions:

What is your name?

How old are you?

When is your birthday?

What are your hobbies?

What is your motto in life?

Okay. So are you ready to start? So lets start now."

Almost half of the class were done to introduced themselves. I was getting nervous because sometimes I am so shy to go infront. Then after a few minutes, I was the next one. Then I went infront and start introduced myself and answer the questions that were given.

" Hi everyone. My name is Mary Katherine Lockhart. You can only call me Mary. I am 16 years old. My birthday is on December 13, 1997. My hobbies are to read books and to study. My motto in life is "No matter what happens in life, be good to people. It is because being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind. Thank you." I had butterflies in my stomach when I said this.

Then some of my classmates like Kathleen and Emma clapped.

After that, Miss Collins announced something to the class.

"Class, listen! Miss Lockhart is only a new student here. So please treat her right. Okay?"

"Okay Miss Collins!" my classmates replied.

"Good. You may now sit down Miss Lockhart." Miss Collins said.

" Are you relieve now Mary?" Emma said.

"Yes. I was so nervous in front. But now, I don't have butterflies in my stomach anymore." I replied.

"Thank God!" Kathleen said.

RING!!!

"It's already break time! You can now go wash your hands, eat your snacks or go to the canteen. Okay?" Miss Collins said.
