Running from them

Chapter 1

Yelling , yelling , yelling. That's all I kept hearing that night but to me it was like Any other night I glanced at my clock to check the time 10:30 by this time my dad left the house & went to a bar. I got up from bed & checked the window yup he's gone I thought to myself I opened my door & went over to my moms room "how bad was it tonight?" I asked her she looked up & stared into my eyes "it keeps getting worse & worse by night everytime he gets home we just fight I'm tired of it sweetie I know he's cheating on me I have to find a way" sadness was all I could see in her eyes I never say anything I just go straight to hug her "we will get through this mom don't worry." Don't get me wrong I'm not the type of girl who hates her dad but we always fight he comes home from work drunk he has never laid a hand on us which makes me happy but cheating on my mom is another thing.
"Rang rang rang ra-" i unlock my phone to turn off my alarm oh sweet another day of high school. I get up do my regular everyday routine. I never usually eat breakfast bc I never have time I walk to the kitchen & see my sister ready .. Oh yeah my siblings I'll tell you about them I have two younger siblings one is sophia she's 12 the other is jasmine she's 15 their both females incase you're wondering "ready to go jasmine?" I ask her rushing out the door "well wait for me you asshole" I start laughing while I ran to school,she managed to catch up to me so I slowed down & I started walking to school with her "I heard them again last night" jasmine said breaking the silence I sighed she hates hearing them fight "yeah it was the usual as every night though don't worry about them." We got to school by 7:48 the bell rings at 7:53 I'm a sophomore in high school & this is our 3rd week of school since it started so yes it is August anyways my friend Abbie never get here early so I just rushed upstairs to my class my teacher is always late so we just wait outside his class.
As were walking back home from school we see a bunch of police officers surrounding our house me & my sister both look at each other & start running towards our house. Our house is very simple by the way it's a one story house it's red & beige with a gate around it. Anyways we get to our house see my mom with the ambulance bleeding everywhere "MOM!!" My sister yells when she saw her,I couldn't move I didn't know what I was thinking I was in shocked I guess you can say, I snap out of it & rush towards my mom "mom are you okay?! What happen?!" I asked her "your dad.. He came home today but he was drunk & had a gun I was cleaning & he just came in like a madman & started shooting everywhere I'm fine baby this is his blood I was shoot in the leg & arm" I looked at her shocked "MOM WHERES DAD?!" Jasmine asked making me jump "he .. He ran we don't know where he's at the cops are trying to look for him. But we have to move sweetie like now."
We were at my uncles house after all that shit happened and he picked us up & took us to his house oh also my little sister was at school we picked her up after a few hours. "You guys can stay here as long as you need okay?" My aunt told my mom she nodded & we put our stuff in the garage I guess this will be my new home for now.
