Prologue:

This is the last straw. Why doesn't anyone understand me? Not my mom, my dad, my big brother, or even my dog.

I can't take this pain anymore. I'm going to pack my stuff and leave this hellhole for good. There's no use staying here. I bet even if I left, nobody would notice that I'm gone.

True, I might miss this place once in a while. But I've made my decision, and I want to feel happy. I haven't felt the slightest but of joy ever since IT happened.

Before I leave, I need to tell Jordan I'm leaving. Oh, I'm gonna miss him the most. His sweet smile, his messy brown hair, and most of all, his comforting presence and personality.

I dialed his number and he picked up after the first ring. "Hello? Tisha? It's kinda late... Is there a problem?"

The sound of my best friend's voice instantly soothes me, and makes me want to stay. But I can't. I just can't. "Hey, Jordan. It's me, Tisha."

"Hey Tisha! Is there something wrong? Anything I need to know? You know, I'm always here for you, no matter what." He says.

Here we go. Deep breaths. You can do this. "Jordan... I'm leaving. I'm going to leave Florida."

There was a long pause before Jordan croaked, "....Why, Tisha? I need you to stay here in Florida with me. Please. Don't leave me alone."

God, this is getting worse by the second. I have to go before my tears fall down and I wake up the whole house. "You wouldn't understand. I just need to go now. Bye."

"But--" I hung up. I don't want to leave him... But I need to get away from all this shit that's been happening to me, and me only..

I waited until I heard snores from all around the house, and then I tiptoed over Cobi, and I slipped out the back door.

Finally. Good bye, Florida.
