Tisha:
Yeah, man. Now that Mr. Jerkazoid went to school, I can do whatever the hell I want to do with this place. Holy crap, Jake is rich! I can get lost in the living room alone! Wait, I gotta pee. Where's that bathroom?
I might do my business right on the floor if I don't find that bathroom right now.
I went up the stairs towards the second floor. The last room on the left had a sign on it:
JAKE'S ROOM. NO ENTRY. No entry, eh?
I went inside his room, and, GOD, I wanted to throw up.
There were clothes all over the floor, and... Was that a We The Kings poster on his wall? Well, at least we have the same taste in music.
I found his bathroom! I finally was able to pee, and then I started fixing his room whilst singing "Both Sides Of The Story" by We Are The In Crowd.
"I found out, finding out wasn't the worst part. Don't believe it's just me, I found out, do you really even have a clue? You're not quite Satan, but I really think I hate you," I sang as I folded his clothes and put it in what seemed to be either his closet, or a miniature dump.
I fixed up his bedside table, and I accidentally knocked over a picture frame. Crap. I picked it up, and I instantly felt a wave of jealousy wash over me. Wait, I've only known him for 5 minutes, I can't feel like this.
The picture was of Jake, with a huge grin on his face, and a really beautiful girl. She had long and wavy blonde hair, and really pretty gray eyes. They were in front of a beach, and it looked like they were really close.
Did he... Did he date her? Never mind, probably none of my business anyway. Oh, well! Back to cleaning this place.
After maybe hours of fixing JUST his room, I heard the doorbell. Oh my God, who is that? I heard the door open too, and after about 30 seconds, I hear a woman shout, "Jake? Honey? I'm home!"
Oh, it's just his mother. But does she know I'm actually here?
I heard her stomp up the stairs, and then I heard Jake's knob click. And again. And again. Oh, right. I locked it! Yay, I have time to hide!
I practically tripped over my feet trying to wade through soda cans that I forgot to clean up, but then I was able to climb into his closet (which, by the way, smelled really good) just as the key clicked in the lock and she went in.
"Holy shit!" I heard her shout in surprise. Well, well, well. Look whose mother curses. Let's see how 'Jake honey' reacts when he finds out that his mommy says bad words!
"Why is it so neat in here? It's not like Jake to keep it clean. Unless... Unless somebody else is here," She said suspiciously.
Crap, she might find me!
Of course, the first place she checked was Jake's closet. She flung it open, to see me, open-mouthed with shock. She screamed, and grabbed a pillow to hit me.
"Wait, ma'am! I can explain!" I pleaded before she hit me. She lowered the pillow, and sat down on the bed, cross-legged and serious. "Go on, explain." Jake's mom said.
Here we go.
"You see, ma'am, I ran away from home." She raised her eyebrows at this, and told me to tell more. "I was way beyond exhausted, and I collapsed in the middle of the road, probably right in front of your house. Your son, Jake, saved me. He was the one who took me into your house, and let me rest here."
Jake's mom looked at me with teary eyes, and said with joy, "That's my baby boy! I always knew he would save someone, just like Superman. Jakey-wakey's all grown up! He's even writing a song with that title. Don't tell him I know. I'm sorry, sweetheart. I didn't know. Call me Meredith, or Mom. I'm Jake's mom. We'll be glad to take you in." She winked and smiled at me, and stood up to hug me.
Mered--- I mean, Mom, smelled like my old mother. Like spring. It was so comforting. I could feel tears forming at the corners of my eyes.
I'm so happy.
They took me in, I thought to myself and smiled.
