The whole summer we were texting, usually about random stuff. Like wuu2 and how’s life. The cutest reply he made to that was "Good now I am talking to you" He is very sweet, I really like him. BUT HE MUST NEVER KNOW!!

For 2 whole weeks I went on holiday to Switzerland, we stayed in Interlaken which is really busy in winter because of the skiing, but in the summer it is really hot and there are so many beautiful mountains in Switzerland that make amazing scenery. We went to the top of Europe (Jaugfraujoch), we visited Bern the capital and we did lots of walks. The only problem was I couldn't text Chris; I couldn't even receive any messages because of flight mode to save money on my contract. I didn't mind too much though as I love Switzerland, we go all the time. There are loads of different mountains but I can't be bothered to say about them. Only that at the top of Europe there is snow everywhere but it is really hot as you are closer to the sun.

Let’s move on from that shall we... So we had 2 weeks of the holidays left and I did nothing but stay at home on my own. Went to a waterpark with mates, swam in a seawater swimming pool. But the most exciting part was I was offered a place in the Devon County Swimming team, I cannot believe it, next stop I will be in the Olympics meeting Tom Daley, what if I was to truly come his girlfriend. No wait Chris!

My first competition was in Plymouth so not too far away against Cornwall, Somerset and Dawlish too see which time was going to swim for South West England. My speciality stroke is freestyle because I am the fasted at front crawl on the team. First race was 100m butterfly we came second and Somerset got 1st place, Viva Jane was so fast I swear in 2016 she will be in the Olympic GB squad. We went through all the races like the rest of butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke. When finally it was freestyle, first was 50m, then 100m and finally my race 200m freestyle. We had only won 5 races 500m breaststroke and 200m butterfly and all of backstroke because Amelia Richards is amazing at all backstrokes. Obviously I want to win to get us into to England championships :)

As I got to the other end of the pool they took my name and my number and I waited near the diving board for the 100m to finish as the Dawlish swimmer touched the wall and won we were aloud on the diving board. I got in the track diving position and waited. To my left I heard "On your marks," So I ducked my head. "Get ready" I rocked backwards and then the whistle blew and I was off. My dive went pretty good, no false starts from anyone (so annoying if the happens) as I was doing fly kick underwater I realised I was ahead of everyone. I started rising and then as I was in the middle of the pool I took my first breath and started moving my arms. 200m is 4 lengths here as it is a 50m pool whereas the one back at home is 33.3m (Awkward I know) I was just randomly thinking as I always do while still sprinting for the 3 length I slowed down as that is the strategy and as I turned to my 4th stoke I spirited. I always imagine my worst nightmare is behind and if I don't go away fast I will not survive(A bit drastic I know but it works so don't judge) Most people slow down as they get to the wall but really you need to hit the wall with force to stop the timer as soon as possible. As I hit the wall I noticed someone had hit it almost exactly the same time.

We waited for the last person to hit the wall and then climbed out of the pool. I could hardly breathe so that was surly my PB. I went so fast. As I walked over to the podium with the others the results were being called "Freestyle 200m results are in. In 4th place is Cammie Sylon from Dawlish, 3rd place was Raina Ashford from Cornwall." So it was me and Somerset left. "So in 2nd place, taking the silver medal for the 200m Freestyle is Rhiannon Turner." OMG I HAD WON. I have won; I probably looked stupid as I was smiling my head off. "Which means that Kelly Parkson has won the 200m Freestyle" With that I strode behind the highest podium and when my name was called again I stepped up and a gold medal was placed around my neck. The Devon flag rose up as the start of 300m Freestyle started. I got off the podium and headed towards my team. The coach thanked me and I started preparing for the Medley in a few races time.

At the end of the last race I had won 2 races (200m freestyle and Freestyle medley) and the medley team came 3rd overall. We stayed in our teams as they announced the results overall we came 2nd. So annoying oh well it's better than last (*cough* Somerset).

OMG I will be seeing Chris tomorrow we have been texting all summer we have found out that we have some lessons together :D
