Her footsteps stopped right above me. I was filled with fear. All I could think about was how screwed up my decisions were. How paralyzed I was with fear. Horrified with how selfish I was again. I heard the door rip open. I was cornered. There was no getting away from her now.
She was laughing uncontrollably. That laugh didn't bring me comfort anymore. She tried to stop laughing so she could talk, but she couldn't. All I could make out of what she said was, "I'll make you pay..."
