**POV: Cancer**

That morning sucked even more. I threw on my uniform (which consisted of a white button-up blouse, a navy blue skirt, and a small red tie), and walked out of the small dorm I had been assigned for that night. I would get my real dorm later. I went to my first class - Math - and, well you'll see what happened.

My new teacher, Mr. Richards, called me up to the front of the class. The school was restricted to "special" people. At least that's what Dad said. Way to make me feel great, Dad. There were only twelve kids in the whole school, so we all had class together. A total of eleven friends available. I'll probably get none of them. It sucks being me. Like, a lot.

"We have a new student here today class," announced Mr. Richards as if it wasn't already obvious. I stood up a little taller as he said, "Class, this is Cancer. We'll go around the room introducing ourselves, starting with Cancer here."

I took a step forward, "Hi, I'm Cancer. I'm fifteen and I really like the color purple."

"And now we'll go down the rows. Capricorn, please," said Mr. Richards.

A guy with shaggy brown hair stood up from the left side of the front row.

"Hi! I'm Capricorn, I'm fifteen, too, and I like playing my guitar, even though it normally annoys Leo."

Next was a girl with a heart drawn on her face and curly brown hair, "Hi Cancer! I'm Libra and I like taking pictures of random things and pinning them on my wall. Oh! I'm also fifteen. Twinsies!"

It went on and on throughout the rows of the class. From the blonde haired Aquarius, the perfectly pink Gemini, to Leo who hadn't paid attention and had gotten his headphones taken away. It went from the blacked haired, cocky guy named Scorpius, to the artistic girl named Sagittarius, to the creative girl named Pisces. The last row was a set of two guys and a girl. The fashion lover Virgo seemed stuck up. She seemed fussy and cold in her heart. The guy, Taurus, seemed materialistic, and he and the other guy, Aries, were goofing off just like Leo. They got their phones taken away for the day and had to stand at the front of the class and shake hands with me. Why shake hands? I don't know. It seemed stupid to me, but whatever.

"Hey Cancer, I'm Taurus. I'm eighteen and I like sleeping. Though I would never sleep in class," Taurus said as Mr. Richards shot him a look over my shoulder. He grabbed my small hand and shook it, eyeing Mr. Richards. He let go and strolled back to his seat.

"Hello, Cancer, I'm Aries," said the other guy with his mismatched eyes and bright red hair. "I like going on adventures around the labyrinth that is this school." He too eyed Mr. Richards and he grabbed my hand, but unlike Taurus, he bend down and brought my hand to his lips. "Welcome to Ademi High."

I was directed to sit in the front row and realized the rows were set by age. There were three people for each age: fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, and eighteen. I was sat next to Capricorn, who seemed friendly enough. We talked a little between classes and during lunch and he was nice. I don't like him like that, but he's funny and a really friendly guy. After all of class was done, I was shown my real dorm. My roommate was the girl named Libra.

"C'mon Cancer! Get on your pajamas, it's almost time for orientation!"

"What?"

"I'll explain while you get ready," she said.

I put on my favorite pajamas (my purple and white spotted ones) and Libra braided my hair while she explained what would happen.
