Their Love Part 2

She was so embarrassed and quickly bent down to pick them all up. One of the books had somehow managed to make its way to the left of the glass doors and down the few steps into the entrance of the small stationary room. Zoe hadn't noticed this. As she gathered the final books she heard a voice whisper, 'You missed one'. And that's when she saw him. She rose to her feet and their eyes met. 'Oh yes I didn't realise, thank you', she said quietly with a smile. They stood gazing into each other's eyes for a moment and then Zoe said 'Well I best be getting on, lots to get through as you can probably tell'. 'Yes of course, happy studying Zoe'. He said. And he went back into the stationary room. He glanced back and smiled at her before he disappeared from her view. How did he know my name? Zoe thought.

She walked over to a free desk, put down her books and sat down to get started with her work. But she couldn't stop thinking about this handsome stranger she had just met. She wondered what his name was and how he knew her name. She opened up one of the books and tried to start reading but couldn't concentrate. She peered up from her book and she saw him walking out of the stationary room with some writing pads. She quickly looked back down at her book and then sneakily looked up again a few seconds later and realised that he was walking in her direction. He can't be coming over to talk to me, we don't know each other, she told herself. And besides, this is a silent study zone, she thought. She kept her head down and all of a sudden, a piece of paper fell onto her book. It was a note. It read 'Hi I'm Nathan, we haven't been properly introduced yet, but I am actually in the same Maths class as you, I've been away over Easter in France as an exchange student, I got back today. I heard about Barnes giving you a bit of a tough time with the extra work, I am pretty good with Maths so if you ever need any help, just let me know :) Nathan x'. Zoe's heart melted. The note wasn't particularly romantic, but it warmed her heart to know that this handsome stranger was also a kind and thoughtful stranger and he now had a name.

The following day during lunch break, Zoe ran into Nathan at the top of Regent Building but this time just outside the study hall. 'I hope there won't be a repeat performance with the books today', Nathan joked. They stood outside the study hall and talked for the entire lunch hour, not realising how long they had been talking for. Eventually they began spending most of their lunch hours together in the study hall. The rest as they say, is history.
