Damn. My head was banging! I stumbled downstairs and took some Apple juice out the fridge.
"Knock knock" Said a familiar voice. A tall, slim brown skinned girl walked through the door.
"Ahhhh Hay Maia" I said getting up and hugging her "Bitch where you been!"
"Oh you know, here and there" She said grinning.
"... What you been taking" I said frowning at her.
"Shut up nothing!" she giggled "Its just ... I met this guy and I think he's the one" She looked down at the floor.
"Awwww gurl. You sprung" I said embracing her in another hug "I'm happy for you gurl. If you happy I'm happy, Kay" Holding her tighter in my arms.
"Thanks Bri. Gurl your always there for me. Like the sister I never had." A tear rolling down her cheek.
"No. No don't cry" I wiped her tears away.
"So" She said snivelling "What about you. You got a special someone in your life"
Looking away I thought about how many guys I've met and slept with.
"You know niggas be niggas" I said laughing
Maia stared at me blankly.
"Bri. I really think you should find someone" She held me hand "You cant just keep going out, getting drunk, smoking weed and having sex. Come on Bri"
I could always give up weed. I'm not addicted. It's just there. But I don't want to be with someone. I can't have a relationship. I've lost enough. I don't want to lose anymore. I just feel like a can't trust anyone. It's just me and my gurls. Noone else matters.
"Yeah. I know Maia. But you know how it is" My eyes diverted to the floor.
"Bri cmon. Atleast try. I hate seeing you like this everyday"
Sighing, I slumped back into the couch.
"Ok. I'll try. But I'm telling you now. If this goes wrong I will never ever do it again. Kay."
"YES!" She screamed literally pouncing on me
"Maia. Maia! Get off me bitch!" Finally, I peeled her off of me.
"Hey Bri there's a Party at The Ice Lounge later. Come with me. We can start a hunt" Her eager eyes burned into my soul
"Oh why I just wan-"
"No excuses you are coming. It was more if a rhetorical question" She did her cute little giggle and got up "Go pick an outfit I ain't going out with you looking like a tramp. Kay" She came over kissed me on the cheek and walked out saying
"I'm coming to pick you up at 11 be ready bitch. Love you!"
I could still hear her high pitched giggling while she walked down the path. Fuck. I really don't wanna go out tonight.
