I watched Antoine as he cradled our newborn in his strong arms. The way he looked at her would make any mother melt.

"She's beautiful," he commented. He was grinning so hard it looked like his checks would burst.

"I guess we really do make cute babies," I smiled back at him.

He was happy staring down at her. After all, he didn't spend all night for me to dig my nails into his hand for nothing.

"You know, I'm ready for another," he winked.

"We already have two," I motioned to our three year-old boy.

"Do you want to meet your new baby sister?" Antoine asked him.

He nodded quickly and his eyes beamed, "Yes, Papi." Antoine lowered our newborn down to his level. He smiled brightly and looked back at us, "Do we get to take her home?"

I chuckled, "Of course, she's going to be living with us from now on."

Antoine smiled at me as I spoke. He was delighted to have a daughter; he always spoke about how he would spoil her and protect her from boys. "Mommy is going to have to spend more time with her, but you and I can play football while she does that."

"Okay," he replied. His eyes seemed to never leave her's. "But can I spend time with her, too?"

"Of course," Antoine smiled. His smile always seemed to lighten up the room no matter what the situation was.

"Maleen, you're so beautiful," he whispered as he joined me in bed. He turned off the light and pulled the covers over us.

"Today has been one hectic day," I sighed and rested my head on his chest.

"It sure has," he commented. "Get some sleep, baby girl."

As we shifted positions to find a comfortable position, we heard a noise. We both stopped and looked at each other with our eyes wide. Her cries seem to get louder each second.

"I'll get her, baby girl," Antoine said and unwrapped himself. "Go to sleep, my love." He kissed my forehead and scurried to our newborn.
