3rd persons POV

The Goldmoon pack was said to be a pack of savages. They have killed so many other creatures just to get to be one of the top packs in America. Lillian Jace is their current alpha. At twenty five she is considered the youngest threat to all of the other packs. She is said to be so beautiful that she puts goddesses to shame and she is said to be so smart that the book of wisdom wouldn't be able to keep up with her. Not only is she beautiful and smart, but she is an amazing leader. She can lead her pack through anything and they will all follow like loyal puppies. What could be more astonishing then that? Well let me tell you. She has been running her pack for years and has done it without a mate. Normally that would be considered impossible, but Lillian Jace has proved us wrong.

Lily's POV

I'm late. I'm so fucking late. My mother is going to have my head. Tonight is the night that my family is going out to celebrate my sister and her mate completing their mating. They officially did the deed last night and are now complete. Not to mention this makes her mate, Markus, my official beta. Rushing into the parking lot, I jump out and chuck my keys to the man out front.
" Put it under Lilly Jace." I yell as I sprint in the doors. I quickly spot a waiter and have him lead me to my family. When I get there my mom just glares well my sister makes a snide remark at me being late.
My mother is a whole 5'6 and weighs 122lbs. She and my sister both have light brown hair, but where as Katlyn my sister has blue eyes, my mother has nice hazel eyes. I just smile at my nagging mother and sister and sit next to my father. My father is 6'7 and extremely muscular. He has dark black hair and the same blue eyes as my sister.
" So Lillian, what took you so long this time?" My mother hisses in my direction. I give her a dazzling smile.
"Well mother dearest, you said I needed a dress for this occasion so I had to go buy one, but do you know how hard it is to find a nice dress that fits well." I can feel her glare on me as my father changes the conversation to stop my mother from killing me with her eyes. I smile and pretend to care about the weather they are talking about. After a short time we all order and start talking about Katlyn and Markus's mating. My wolf, Eva, starts getting all depressed and mopey. Most wolves find their mates before they turn 20, but here I am at 25 and still mateless. I guess the table started sensing my wolfs discomfort and they changed the topic. Diner was nice for the most part. I feel bad for being a little mopey during it though. My sister and Markus leave first and I leave shortly after, claiming I need to take care of pack stuff. Driving home I feel unfocused. My head starts drifting into a dark place. All I can think is what might happen if I just drive off the bridge that is on my way home? Do I have a mate out there that would get depressed knowing they were to late? As I cross the bridge I shake my head and think of my pack and the people who depend on me. Turning on the road leading to the pack house, I spot several trackers and know something has gone wrong. Hurrying to the pack house I jump out of my car and walk to Andre.
"What happened and why didn't you mind link me?" I growl at him.
"Alpha we were robbed. I'm sorry."
