I slowly sunk down to the floor and held the note closely to my heart,"He's gone. He.... He left me here alone."I whispered as tears started to gather in my eyes. I touched the huge noticeable mark on my neck and closed my eyes. Never in my life had I thought that my soul mate, the person who was supposed to be by my side for the rest of my life, left with just a simple note. I slowly raise up and move to the photos of my high school years on the wall, touching them slightly and rage started to feel my bones. HE left me! He came into my happy life and turned it into a living hell. I walked over to my door and threw it open,"Mom? Where is the phone?" She spoke almost like I was a fragile doll, "Sweetie, I don't think it is a good idea to be going out or talking on the phone for a while. Let's talk about what happened when you were gone." I smirked and looked into my mom's soft, kind eyes, "Do you really want to know? Well where do I start? I fell in love and he left me." She laughed a small bit and tried to hide the worry in her eyes,"He just brainwashed you sweetie! There's no way you fell in love with your kidnapper." Only if she knew. I laughed and patted her arm,"I was just trying to see if you'd fall for it." I walked over the fridge and started to look through it,"I am starving. I feel like my stomach is eating my spine." I pat my stomach and keep looking. I come across an uncooked steak, it was calling my name but I can't let my parents know. I slowly grab it and raise it up in the air,"Do you mind if I cook this, mom?" She smiled and grabbed the steak out of my hand,"How about I fix it for dinner? Does steak sound good to you honey?" My dad, who had taken a seat and was reading the sports section in the newspaper, looked up and smiled,"Sounds good!" I smiled and started to really look around the house. It has changed a lot. All my photos are hung up, old newspaper with my name in the headlines scatter across the table, tissues sitting at every table waiting for someone to break down. What happened to my parents? I glanced at my mom and dad and realized that I was all they have. I sigh and started to walk through the living room. I pick up one of the millions of newspapers that were on the table and started to read the article, "Cailey Shae, 19 year old daughter of Susan and Mark Shae, was reported missing after her mother and friends could not reach her and decided to go to her home. Entry into the home was forced and seems to be no sign of struggle. Her mother, Susan, claims that he or she could have drugged her daughter. No fingerprints other than Cailey is found at the crime scene." I slowly looked at all the headlines and realized that no matter what they said, they all said that my case was a dead end. I glanced over to the TV stand and saw my old cell phone. I smirked and started to recite Blake's number, as if it was my own, inside my head. I grabbed it and slowly walked back into the kitchen,"Hey mom, dad, if you need me, I'll be in my room. I just want to catch up on my sleep. Just wake me whenever Dinner is ready. Love you guys." I didn't want to seem to excited to go back to my room so I dragged my feet as much as I could. Once I reached my room, I ran to the outlet that had the charger plugged in and watched as the phone lit up. Once powered up, I was shocked that it still had minutes on it. I started to dial his number and slowly put it up to my ear. Ring, Ring, Ring.... Nothing. I shake my head and tried to remember anything else that could help me talk to him. I sighed and decided to try again. I slowly dial the number again and close my eyes as it starts to ring. Ring, Ring, Ri-,"Hello?" A slow seductive voice came through the phone. There was a female answering his phone. How dare he let someone else other than his mate touch him or his phone,"Hi, Is this Blake's phone?" A soft laugh scratched at my ears and rage ran through me,"Yes it is, but he's handling some business right now. He claims he's doing it for a girl but last time he said that he ended up getting hurt. Who knows? Can I help you with something?" I stared at the floor blankly,"Can you tell him that Cailey, his mate, called?" Suddenly, the line got quiet,"Y-you're his mate? Why did you leave? He's heartbroken!" I sighed,"Too long of a story, just know that I didn't leave. He said he'd be back. But I haven't heard from him all day and I don't know why but my body is craving him." She laughed,"Well, I'm his sister, Natasha. The whole family is here and thought they'd meet you but....." I teared up and sniffled a small bit,"Can you tell him that I love him?" I pressed the end call button and powered the phone down. I've never craved for him this much.
