"That's all she said?" Elise questioned. "It doesn't make any sense to me."
Jenna bit into a chocolate strawberry that she had picked up off of the gold embroidered tray on Elise's kitchen island. She sipped a bit of white wine and smirked, "What about Victoria ever made sense?"
Nothing about Victoria ever made sense; a phrase that couldn't be any more perfect. Victoria was the girl that randomly popped in to these girls' young lives in high school. Elise and Jenna laughed over their old friend as they remembered Victoria, being the girl that just perfectly slid herself into conversations, and provided inputs and advices when nobody even asked her for them... but in the end it helped people's emotions.
Elise remembered the time she laid her eyes on her first ever love. He was quirky, dark curls covered the top of his chubby head, and he was very artsy. Elton was his name. He wasn't the most attractive but he was such a charmer to girls at school. However, Victoria wasn't a fan of his and hated him from the first time they shook hands. She was able to read people from when they first touch and Victoria was somehow also able to read energy and vibes from others. Elise remembered how desperately Victoria pleaded her not to date or kiss Elton. She told Elise that the first kiss between the two of them will bind them as a couple and seal the deal, but it would be a rocky relationship due to his part- and she was right.
"Do you remember Elton?" Elise asked with a frown on her face.
Jenna spat out the drink she had just sipped and it spilled onto her plate of cookies. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry, that was disgusting of me." She looked confused, "Why are you bringing up Elton from junior year?"
Elise giggled, grabbed some paper towels and wiped off the bit of wine that spilled onto her white granite counter. She then grabbed her wine glass and sipped a bit of it and said, "He texted me today out of nowhere apologizing for what he did to me for the year and a half we were together."
"What the actual fuck?" Jenna snickered. "Why are these people from the past coming back into our lives?"
Elise downed her drink and laughed, "God probably got bored watching our lives and said oh, let me see what I can do to shake things up." She smiled, "He could've at least given us a new car, more money or something of value."
"What are you saying? Victoria isn't of value?" Jenna tried to hold in her laughter.
Elise just shrugged her shoulders.
"Girl, stop it!"

A couple of minutes up the road Isabel had just arrived to Victoria's and parked her car on the driveway. She made her way up to the two large dark wood and embroidered door and rang the doorbell. The door slowly opened and she was greeted by Mrs. and Mr. Machtub finely dressed for an event. Mrs. Machtub had her freshly colored hair blown out and wore a teal sparkling kaftan with gorgeous pearls hugging her neck. Mr. Machtub's dark hair was brushed back and he wore a fitted Indonesian batik shirt in dark olive, paired with black slacks and fine leather shoes. Isabel smelt the essence of Tom Ford's dark woody fragrance as they hugged her.
"Victoria is preparing tea and dinner in the kitchen. You two enjoy!" Mrs. Machtub softly smiled before closing the door behind her.
Isabel walked passed the humongous columns inside of the home, which were used as separation of rooms in their home. She walked through a tiffany blue room, which was lit up by the sparkling teardrop chandelier above. She remembered the kitchen entrance was just beyond the bright family room from the last time she was here. Isabel placed her gold-shade Hermes Kelly bag on the cream coach and made her way through the curved entrée way.
