Once they started needing a rest, Anthony managed to locate a cave to take shelter in. "That was a real close one right there,", said Charlotte, "So this is world we now have to deal with. Huh, I expected it worse.". Though the radiation from all the nuclear bombs that had been detonated in hopes that it would take down an amount of outsiders were still high, it was low enough to live with.
"What's the point?", said Jason, "I mean, aliens have invaded, the rest of the world is presumed dead and we're running low on food." "Outsiders." said Dakota, "What?" said back Jason, "They're called outsiders. They're bacteria that came back with us from a mission on a new planet so we call them outsiders." "Well that's comforting" Anthony said quietly.
"Guys! Guys get up! I think I see an outsider!" whispered Ryan after being so quiet the day before. Anthony and Grace both groaned but Jason didn't get any sleep, he never did, he just watched his door in case something were to get in. The fact that he was in an open cave didn't help either.
After getting a closer look, it turned out that Ryan was correct, it was a lone outsider. It's black flesh and purple markings were easily visible in the day. It's terrifying eyeless face is enough to give a grown man nightmares for weeks. It had extremely sharp teeth and short but piercing claws. It was as if it came straight from hell itself. It had six legs that looked like a body builder's, in fact they did look like a bodybuilder, only on four powerful legs. "What do we do?" mouthed Dakota, but then their answer came to them in a disgusting bloody mess. A woman on her own was sprinting towards the beast with what looked like an axe with barbed wire and purple blood stained on it. She then forced the axe down into the thing's skull and then proceeded to decapitate it. Anthony threw up in a corner and everyone else just looked in horror. "I think she's insane" Jason said, "No, i just think she's plain badass... but scary of course." replied Ryan. The mysterious woman then looked into the cave with curiosity. She'd noticed something. "I think she sees us!" whispered Grace. "No shit, Sherlock." Charlotte said back. The woman stared at the cave a little longer and then ran straight towards them but as she was at the mouth of the cave, Anthony extended his arm and caught her in jaw.
