I saw her, standing right in front of me. Her hair was flying all over the place when the strong cold wind hit us. Perhaps, she didn't expect for me to be here, waiting. She was panting really heavily as if she just ran for a marathon.

" Why are you... " She breathed in and out. " ..Still here? " She continued.

" Waiting for you. I just said that not long ago. " I scratched my head.

She smacked my head playfully and crossed her arms. Ouch. I groaned at the pain while caressing my head. Though she did that as if we knew each other well.

" How long have you been waiting? " She looked at me seriously.

I held up three fingers at her and looked down. I had a feeling she knew what it meant.

She facepalmed her forehead after seeing my fingers. Then, she plopped herself down on the bench, sitting right next to me. Probably, giving up.

" I'm sorry. " She whispered.

I turned my head towards her and she had the face of guilt. Trying to reassure her, I shook my head. I thought of a way to cheer her up and I knew exactly how.

" You might wanna look ahead. " I said, pointing at the scenery that was playing right before our eyes.

We watched as the fiery orb of light slowly sank beneath the horizon, her face aglow from the last orange rays before twilight beckons the stars. When darkness filled the sky, the stars appeared and twinkled as if they were winking at us.

" Ga Eun. " She suddenly mumbled, her eyes focused on the stars.

I looked her, confused. Is that her name?

" Since you're late, treat me for the cotton candy! " He exclaimed.

I laughed unconsciously at his sudden statement. It was just too cute, almost like a kid. I stood up and gestured him to follow me.

We stopped at my favourite cotton candy shop that sells other candies too. It was my favourite store to go to when I was still a kid. Sadly, it was closed early.

" Here. " He gave me his phone.

How can he trust me that much?

" Type in your number. " He looked away, as if trying to hide his embarrassment.

I typed in my number in a flash, still having trust in the pink-haired boy. I gave back his phone and I looked at my wristwatch showing that it was already 8pm.

" Come on. I'll send you home. " He smiled.

I shook my head, trying to tell him that it was okay for me to go alone.

" I insist. " His eyes locked into mine.

In the end, he really did send me home. It was silent and awkward. There was a small gap in between us when we walked. The lights along the streets were bright so it wasn't so eerie. I shivered a little when the icy cold wind went by. How am I supposed to go to school in this weather?

" Here we are. " I huffed when I saw my house.

" You live alone? " He asked.

" Uh kinda.. Mum is out of the country for work. My older sister doesn't come home often. " I explained, shrugging my shoulders.

" Oh, so um... I'll text you later. " A hint of red spread across his cheeks.

I nodded and waved at him before entering the house. He waved back and smiled widely before leaving.

Unknowingly, I was waiting for a ding coming from my phone even when I was in the shower. Wait... why am I even.. ugh. I slammed the bathroom door shut and jumped onto my bed after having a change of clothes.

I jumped a little when I heard my phone vibrated and I immediately unlock it to see the message.
