Demi is not your typical Outcast....
Demetria (Demi) Everstone has never really fit in with the rest of society. While everyone had a Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram she’s always settled for the less popular like Tango, Google Plus, and Tumblr. She and her older brother Dylan Everstone have always been close for as long as she could remember. Ever since she was little and her older sister abandoned her family Demi has never spoken much or trusted anyone besides her brother. Not even her own parents. From 2nd grade up to 8th grade she has always been bullied about her personality and character being different from the modern day teen. Freshman and sophomore year didn't go so well for her either. Now after being the Outcast of Seaside Bay High School her and Dylan are both given partial scholarships to Mason Preparatory Academy right before they start their junior and senior years. This is one of the best private high schools in the country. Of course with the partial scholarship for both of them their parents don’t hesitate to accept. Her parents insist that Demi and her family move from her small modern town of St. Albans New York to the paved cobblestone streets of Garden City so they can have a 'fresh start'. Demi was never one for making new friends or just being social in general. Her past has given her some serious trust issues and she's not even sure if she’s mentally capable of letting her walls down for anyone other than her brother. When Demi first arrives she is not surprised to find that this school is not much different from her last one. Same popular cheerleaders dating the football start jocks and the nerds sticking together at the nerd table and going to chess club after school. Could this school be anymore cliché? What Demi isn't expecting is to find that she may not be the only student there that doesn’t 'flow with the mainstream'. She meets new people along the way that are willing to openly accept her and all her baggage.... including a possible love interest. But what if Demi can't find it in her to let down her walls to the only people who may be able to help her when her past comes back to haunt her? Will she stop pushing them away before it’s too late?
