The alarm clock blares in my ear as I get up out of bed. picking up my phone I see three missed calls from my dad and a voicemail I'm probably not going to listen to. We had an argument a few days ago and I've been staying at a friends house ( Obviously he doesn't know that, gotta leave some mystery )
I check myself out in the mirror and brush my teeth before leaving the house. I trod down the street to the coffee shop and get a cookie before calling my dad.
He picks up on the fourth ring"Hello, Eli Where the F*ck have you been?"
"None of your business."
"Jesus Eli, don't get smart mouthed with me, I know I messed up but I am still your father and you need to show me some respect" I take a bite of my cookie and roll my eyes. "Is that supposed to be an apology?" I say. I was about to hang up before I heard a woman's voice in the background. "Are you f*cking kidding me, I thought you would've got rid of her by now!" Silence on the other side. "So you can't speak now? Whatever."
I hang up the phone and look around to see the majority of people in the coffee shop staring at me. I grab my cookie and stomp out of the enclosed area.I take in a breath of relief when I get out in the open, the smell of coffee and smoke filling my nostrils. I take a seat at the nearest bus stop and admire the cars and bikes passing by. I'd love to be in the space of my own car right now but the busted thing is in the shop getting a tire change.
A few minutes later I get off the bus at Central Park. It's a beautiful place to clear my head and eat some food. I wander around for a while and stop under a tree for some shade.
I pull out my phone and start blasting some pharrell through my earphones. As I sit my self down the tree, I realise that somebody has just abandoned there bag and a book. Obviously being the hero I am, I am forced to take a look. There's a bunch of photos scattered around the area, all of this girl with a nice face and some wild hair.
I continue looking through the pictures "these are pretty good," I say whilst nodding my head in approval. "Well I wouldn't want them to be bad, now would I?"
I look up to see a beautiful pair of hazel brown eyes staring back at me.
