So,recently Target has announced that transgender people are allowed to use the bathroom that fits their identity. A lot of people are boycotting Target because of this. It makes me beyond frustrated. As a nation we have overcome a lot of racism, not all, and changed a lot of harmful day to day things. We no longer promote owning slaves. We no longer deny biracial couples. Not everyone has  to be religious. We have overcome some many things. But,some people are still judged and disregarded like trash. Transgenders don't want to harass you will you go to the bathroom. They just want to feel like they belong. Why on earth would they harass someone in a bathroom when they have to watch their backs because someone uneducated bigot wants to kill them for being themselves? Sometimes I just want to cry for them. They're is nothing wrong with them.
I get if people don't full understand. Heck,I don't even fully understand. But,they are HUMAN beings for heaven sakes! They are not gross,hideous,or ungodly. They are just being themselves. I am a huge believer in gay and transgender rights. You don't even have to support them. Just don't deny them of their human rights.
