Epilogue

Three years later

I walked out of my car and took out my luggage with me. I looked around and found children running in my garden. Mom had arranged a big dinner and have invited every single family member and friends because her children were returning back home after good 4 years. I don't know about Ryan but I haven't visited my parents since 3 years because I was so busy in my studies that I didn't got time but I occasionally called them. It has been 4 years since I last saw Aaron, the love of my life. Yeah you heard right, the love of my life. I couldn't help but got more and more attached to him through this distance that I didn't realized when I fell in love with him. I last saw home 4 years back when we all were leaving for college. It had been 4 tough years without my parents, friends and my boyfriend. I was not the little innocent Chloe anymore, I am a 22 year old young woman now.

"Chloe" I heard a voice behind me which belonged to Sarah and Emily

I ran towards them and hugged the life out of them. "Why the hell you didn't visited us?" Sarah asked

"I was bust, Sar" I said wiping my tear which fell off from my eye after realizing how much I missed my friends.

"Bullshit, now come on let's go inside" Emily said

"Oh my God, Em. You just swore" I laughed

"Yeah my girl is now a feisty one" Andrew said as he appeared behind Emily

"Andrew" I said and hugged him and Conner who was beside him

"I missed you guys so damn much" I said and they all replied with a 'we missed you too'. Soon after we went inside the house and I placed my luggage in a corner. "Ryyaaaaaan" I screamed as I saw my brother and went towards him and tackled him in a bone crushing hug.

"Oh my God, Chloe. How are you baby girl?" Ryan asked as we pulled away from the hug

"I'm good" I said as I hugged Cassandra who was standing beside him. As we pulled away, I noticed something shining on her finger. I grabbed her hand and saw a ring was there. I looked towards her and she blushed.

"Uh um we're engaged" Ryan said and my hand flew over to my mouth

"Are you serious?" I asked because I was too shocked. I didn't thought he would settle down with a girl but I also knew it from the start that Cassandra would change him. Ryan nodded.

"I'm happy for you guys" I said and hugged them both. I left them and walked into the kitchen where mom was cooking something.

"Mom" I said and she turned around, as soon as she saw me, she tackled me in a hug and started kissing me all over my face. "Stop, Ma" I said chuckling

"Oh my baby, why didn't you visited us? Me and your dad missed you so much by the way you look so beautiful, this black dress suits you" Mom rambled

"Ma Ma, I was busy that's why I didn't t visited and I missed you guys too and thanks" I said. Soon my dad came into the kitchen and I hugged him too to which in return, he kissed my forehead.

After greeting everyone I knew, I walked into my house garden where no one was except a few children playing and messing around. I wrapped my arms around myself letting the air hit past me. Suddenly, I felt a tug at my dress and I turn around to find Katniss. I enveloped her in a hug and she hugged me back. She was so much grown up as she was 9 years old now.

"Katniss, I missed you" I said as tears slipped my eye

"I missed you too, Harmony and Aaron missed you so much too" She said and I wiped my tears while looking down. I don't even want to hear his name. He had hurt my by not even contacting me in these four years. I heard footsteps coming near us and I stood up from the ground only to come face to face with Aaron. He has grown so much he even had a little stubble on his face and he was dressed in a black jeans and a black button up shirt. I looked away from him not being able to look him in the eye.

"Hi" He said, his voice hoarse

"Hi" I said in a small voice.

"Katniss, go inside. Mom's looking for you" He said and katniss ran inside the house.

"How are you" He asked

"I'm good, what about you?" I asked

"I'm good too" He said. This conversation was way awkward

"Let's go to my room" I said to him because I needed answers from him and my room is the only quietest place we would get to talk.

"Yeah" He looked confused for a second but nonetheless replied

We went inside the house and walked towards my room. I opened the door and saw my room in the same condition as it was before 4 years. Nothing had changed. I sat on the bed and he sat beside me.

"Why?" I asked

"Huh?" He asked in bewilderment

"Why did you just left like that? Why didn't you contacted me in all theses years? I didn't even got to see your face. Was I that bad of a girlfriend huh?" I finished wiping my tears. He grabbed my shoulders and made me turn towards him

"Hey, Hey. You're not a bad girlfriend understand? And I didn't contacted you in all those years because I didn't wanted to distract you from your studies. I know this is a lame reason but you seemed so passionate about becoming an anatomist and I didn't wanted to disturb you" He said

"But still, you were my boyfriend you needed to contact me often" I said

"I'm sorry, Munchkin" He said

"Do you still want to continue this relationship?" I asked

"Of course I do" He said and I smiled as he leaned in closer. Our lips were just inches apart, his breath fanning my face he leaned in more and his lips met mine. I responded back quickly to his kiss. We both were kissing till we were out of breath. I pulled apart and rested my forehead on his.

"I love you" He said after seconds leaving me in shock

"I love you too" I replied as he grinned and crashed his lips to mine again.

I knew that was it. It was the beginning of our love. The boy who I used to hate was standing in front of me, hugging me. I fell in love with him and this was just the starting.
