Daniel Chammas of Venable LLP's Labor and Employment Practice Group of Los Angeles, California is an experienced litigator. He attended the University of California in Los Angeles and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, following which he continued his education and received his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School in 1999. He is experienced in defending companies against class actions, particularly wage and hour consumer class actions. Daniel Chammas has litigated and resolved several types of workplace disputes, including claims for sexual harassment, wrongful termination, racial discrimination, and unpaid wages. He has also represented management against union grievances.

After graduating from Stanford Law School, he practiced law in a variety of industries and gained valuable experience in various fields. Apart from serving corporate clients with litigation expertise, he advises his clients on a variety of employment issues including writing employee handbooks, employee termination, and how to comply with the California wage and federal employment laws.

Working as a partner at Venable, an American Lawyer 100 law firm, he has been involved with several significant court rulings. One of them being, defending a large wireless tracking and recovery systems provider in a wage and hour class action lawsuit.

Daniel Chammas defended a client in an important case, invasion of privacy consumer class action lawsuit. The allegations were that the company placed and recorded several hundreds of phone calls to individuals without their consent. The class with sought several million dollars could not be certified, as the recordings were authorized by the state tariffs. Over the years, he has also worked with entertainment studios regarding protecting their rights and obligations in basic contracts and talent agreements. He is also a legal representative for Fortune 500 companies dealing in goods and services across the United States.
