If Only

I long for the day that everyone is accepted. I want everyone to be accepted. Too many people are set apart by their race. But, they are all just like us. The only thing that is different is their skin color. But, that doesn't make them worse than us. And no, not one person is alike. How would you feel if I treated you horribly just because you have brown hair instead of blonde, or you have a dog instead of a cat. It isn't right. And yes, racism is not as horrible as it used to be. But that does not mean that it isn't still around. If only. If only. If only. Oh if only.
Let me ask you a question. Which do you like better? Chocolate? Or vanilla? I bet fifty percent of you say chocolate, and fifty percent of you say vanilla. What if I judged you and said: "Ew chocolate is gross. You deserved to be punished for choosing chocolate." And you would be so offended because it is just ice cream. And chocolate and vanilla are both ice cream, no matter what. So, you refuse to be prosecuted for choosing chocolate. You are entitled to your own opinion. Right?
Well, think about it. How is that scenario any different? No matter what race you are, you are still human. And you shouldn't be judged for the way that God created you. Back in the Civil Rights Movement, many Christians hated African Americans. Because they were different, because they had a different skin color then they did. But, judging something that God made, is judging God. And that doesn't make you a true Christian.
Why can't we all just accept people for who they are? Nobody is the same. You and I both know that. Human is Human. People are People. If only we could accept everyone. If only. If only. If only. Oh if only.
