"Prince Antonio. It's time!" called a young hand maiden. The maid had short brownish-blonde hair decorated with a red headband with a little heart near the edge, and wore a long red dress with a white apron. Below her was a little boy with light-brown hair in a red tunic with gold trimming, holding onto the handmaiden's dress.
"Coming, Emma!" a masculine voice said as he opened the heart-shaped door. Antonio was young man of 19 years with chocolate brown hair, deep green eyes, mocha colored skin, and wore a red tunic decorated hearts near the collar and hem with fur-lined coat without sleeves.
"I'm sorry about your father, Your Majesty," Emma said, as Antonio picked up the small child next to Emma and looked down.
"Things happen," Antonio said, but quickly looked up and said, "But right now we just have to keep a smile."
"Said like a true king," Antonio looked over to see his wife, Maria. Maria was a beautiful woman with blood-red hair, ice-blue eyes, cinnamon-colored skin, and wore a long red and pink dress with circular farthingale along with a long red veil.
"Thank you Maria. But I just hope I can be half as good a king as my father," Antonio said, but his son patted his soft, brown locks.
"I believe in you, Papa," his son said, with a big smile.
"Then that's all the encouragement I need. Thank you, Alvarez," Antonio said, hugging his son before following the women down to the throne room where the different rulers and their Jacks were already seated. The prince felt like hurling as he walked down the aisle to where the priest was ready with crown in hand, and before he realized it he was already kneeling down.
He barely listened as the priest announced, "I hereby present King Antonio of Hearts!" He stood up and smiled his lady-killing grin at the crowd and bowed politely towards the crowd. Antonio then lead the crowd out to the ballroom where the band played lovely and romantic music, couples danced elegantly around, as the now King Antonio sat on the throne with his wife and child nearby greeting the guests including his best friends the King of Diamonds and the Jack's older grandson.
"My dear Antoine. Félicitations pour la royauté," said the Diamonds King, Francis. Francis was one of the flashiest people you would ever meet, always wearing the latest fashion, always lighting up entire party, and his face alone could stop the hearts of any person.
"Gracias, Francis," Antonio said, before looking at his legs to see Francis's 2-year-old son, Matthew. "Hola, Matthew. How are you?"
"I'm okay, Your Majesty," Matthew remarked.
"What am I!?" cried the remarkably loud seventeen-year-old, Gilbert. Gilbert was the elder grandson of the current Jack of Discipline, whose daughter-in-law just gave birth to a baby boy. Gilbert was born with rare red eyes, snow-white skin, and silver/white hair. "Chopped liver!"
"Oh, lo siento, Gilbert. How are you?" Antonio said, chuckling as Maria pulled Alvarez closer.
"Awesome, as usual!" Gilbert cried, as a few heads turned in confusion. Maria mentally face-palmed herself, wondering why her husband hung out with these two.
Antonio smiled kindly and said, "Well enjoy yourselves." He then turned towards Francis and said in a low tone with a hint of darkness, "You better behave yourselves."
Gilbert then said, "You ask too much of us." Antonio physically face palmed as his two best friends quickly disappeared into the crowd.
"Your Majes-" Maria began before Antonio looked over at her.
"Sweetheart to you, I'm husband! Not Your Majesty," Antonio happily said and Maria gave a shy smile.
"Toni, I need talk to you outside," Maria whispered, and Antonio gave her a questioning look.
