You and one of your besties, (f/n), began wandering down the beach in France. You were moving to Paris the next day! The sun was setting; the moon was rising; it was a warm day: everything was perfect! Well, it seemed as if it was. "(F/N), look! What is that?" You asked your friend, only earning a shrug. The closer you came, a bright (f/c) light shone right into your eyes, as well as (f/n). You looked up to see two lockets."Cool!" (f/n) said as she put one on. You reluctantly put the other one on and opened it. You almost passed out when you saw what was inside. "What's up?"
"It-It-It-" You stuttered.
"Brrrrreeeeaattthhh your wwwoooorrrrddddss."
"I-It's got photos of-of...us." You said slowly , and raised up the locket so your friend could see it. "Why would someone of these?"
"I don't know, but you promised you'd check out the island just off the coast!" (f/n) gave you the biggest puppy eyes she could muster.
"Fine, but let me at least ge-" You began to answer before being pushed into a boat and getting splashed as it began moving.
"-T MY CAMERA!!!" You screamed the rest of the sentence into (f/n) face, staring your (e/c) eyes into hers.
"Hhhm, sorry (y/n), I don't listen to boring people. On that note, what's the math homework?" She asked, ignoring the fact you were fuming.
"That homework," you said as calmly as you could,"Was due in A WEEK AGO!"
"Eh, who cares. Let's just explore the island." You looked up and saw you were there already. This island was called Mako Island (sorry! I just watched season 4 of Mako Mermaids). You had no idea why. (f/n) finally caught your attention by running away, towards the mountain.
"Don't leave me, (f/n)!"

"Woah, check it out! Perfect photo opportunity. Lemme just, oh wait, you didn't let me bring my camera!" You said to your friend. She just smirked and pointed down at a large crack in the ground. Because you were to busy ranting to your friend, the next thing you noticed was being surrounded by water. You took a deep breath and discovered you were in some kinda pool. SPLASH!
"(f/n)! The least you could've done was throw down a rope." You glanced down to see water bubbling, covering your's and (f/n)'s legs.
"What's going on?"(f/n) said.
"I have no," You began, before looking at your legs. They were gone, and in their place was a sparkling tail."IDEA!!!"
"Awesome!" (f/n) said, splashing her orange tail.

"How are you so relaxed about this?! We are supposed to be two normal girls, just living a normal life. Next thing you know we'll be heroes in spandex suits!" You joked. As if on queue, a bright light emitted from your and f/n 's necklaces. The next thing you saw was a blob hovering above your nose. It was the same colour as your tail, and had golden eyes.
"Hey, (y/n)."

"Are you sure you're not psychic?" Asked (f/n), after the 'kwami' had finished explaining everything. It turned out that your prediction was pretty much spot on. You and (f/n) were now going to be a team, Ange Blanc and Diable Noir. You were Ange Blanc, and, according to your kwami, had to purify the akali-no, that's not it. The...The...Akuma? Nevermind, you thought. Despite guessing being heros right, the on think you got wrong was about you. (f/n) was going to wear spandex, but you were going to wear a pink dress. Actually, make that a pink poofy dress.
"I'm pretty sure (f/n). Now, back to the mermaid stuff. How do we get back to normal?" You said, trying to cover up how stressed you were.
"Oh, I know!" Your kwami said. "And, by the way, my name is Charmeine, angel of harmony. Now,(f/n), your kwami is known as Hedine, meaning demon of chaos. To change back, just hold your fist above your tail and clench it." You both did as she said, and your legs were back. You ran to the beach and started kissing your legs.
"Beautiful legs. BEAUTIFUL LEGS!!" You yelled. Fran was running behind you, catching her breath from keeping up with you.
"How come," She began, panting,"In sports..you al...always come las...t but when you want, you ca..can run faster than me."
"I dunno, so let's head back. We're moving to Paris tomorrow. And we have school. :(!" You exclaimed as you jumped into the boat. And let's just say you had a few splashes of water.
