Preference 1: where you meet.

Ethan: you and Ethan have known each other before you both could walk. You're families have been close friends since high school so you have grown up with Cameron and the twins. They are like your family. But you've always liked Ethan more then your best friend, even when you was in 1st grade. But he never asked you on a date until junior year.

Grayson: you have always been a fan of his vines with his brother even before he was famous. You had always liked Grayson more then Ethan for some reason. When you met the twins at a meet and greet on your 16th birthday, you take photos with the twins and have a small conversation. Once you get home you feel a piece of paper in your pocket. 'Hey, I've seen your Twitter. Love to get to know you;)' and you became very friends.
