Marshall's POV

"what are you looking over for, did you find your mate?'' my friend Derik asks me.

'' Shut up, at least I have a mate.'' I say.

He turns away, shaking his head.

I don't want to be this gross, cold, vampire. I'm a thousand years old. I watch people die and live in front of my eyes. the werewolves hate my kind, and we hate them.

I grab my bag from my car and head into the school. as I pass in the hall way, I see that group of werewolves and they're 'trustful' leader, Jake.

'' Take a shower.'' I mutter.

They turn to me and Jake says,'' get some color.''

I hiss under my breath as I pass them. I see a girl by my locker. I approach her and she smells of werewolf.

I look over to see Jake and he is staring at me, shaking his head.

''hello, my name is Marshall. are you new here, because I never seen you here you before?'' I ask her. she turns to me.

her hair is orange, she has reddish eyes and a tattoo of a phoenix on her neck, or maybe one of the werewolf marks.

'' Hello Marshall, at least you noticed. nobody here seems to.'' she says and looks around. 

'' Yeah, are you from the pack around here?'' I ask her in a low voice.

'' how did you know?'' she asks me in the same low voice.

'' I can smell you girl, I'm a vampire.'' I say with a smirk.

she looks down.

'' what's wrong?'' I ask her.

'' I can't be with your kind, Alpha's orders.'' she says, sadly.

'' well, get used to being rejected because you just became a rebel.'' I say and grab her wrist.

'' where are we going?'' she asks me as we race down the hall.

'' Watch.'' I say.

she doesn't say a word till we reach the math room.

'' Ladies first.'' I say and look at a poster.

'' what?'' she says in confusion.

'' walk through it.'' I say.

'' oh.'' she says, dumbly.

she walks through it and I follow. once I'm in I start flying around.

'' this is cool Marshall, what is this place?'' she asks me.
