The Day That Changed Everything: Rose's P.O.V G.D/E.D

Chapter One

*At Home**

Roses P.O.V

"Rose, get up! You're going to drive me and your father to the airport. Plus you have school!" My mom screamed from downstairs.

I rolled over and clicked on my phone. The brightness of my phone startled me, even though it was all the way down. My phone read 5:08 A.M.

I jumped out of bed and threw on a short pink dress, along with a pair of white flats, and then I ran into the bathroom. I quickly put my make up on and pulled my hair into a messy bun.

I jogged down the steps where I met my mother and father.

"Let‛s go." I said grabbing my keys off of the table.

It took about an hour to reach the airport from my house, but the traffic was bad, so it delayed my timing. I dropped them off around 8:30 and started to head to school.

Fifteen minutes into my drive back I got a text from my best friend Avery.

Avery: ​Where are you?! You missed the beginning of first period.

Me: ​My parents are going on a vacation to celebrate their anniversary.

Avery: ​I‛m lonely🙁. Please hurry. Plus we got two new students.!

“A new student? Surely shes joking.”

Me: ​I am going to be late. I might arrive around lunch do you want me to get you anyth-

*Police Sirens*

“Shit.”

I pulled over my car and sat my phone in the passenger seat. I looked up to see the, surprisingly attractive, cop get out of his car and make his way to mine. I took the keys out of the ignition and rolled down my window.

“Ma‛am, do you know why I pulled you over?” He asked raising up one eyebrow.

I looked down and studied the end of my dress… “I was swerving.” I murmured.

“Right” he responded, “Do you know why that was?”

“​Yes, I wasn‛t focused on the road.” ​I said quietly.

“Well, that was because you were texting and driving.” He said glaring at me, “It is against the law to do that, so your going to have a ticket that must be paid within thirty days.”

“Just great. That's  exactly what I needed today..”

The officer went back to his car and started writing out my ticket. I grabbed my phone and finished the message.

Me: ​I am going to be late. I might arrive around lunch do you want me to get you anything to eat?

I pressed send and laid my phone back down. The officer came back to my window with my ticket.

“Drive safely.” He winked and left.

“Oh my gosh did he seriously just do that?”

I laid the ticket under my phone and started to head towards Arby's. I got me and Avery a number 3. She didn‛t text back, but i'm sure she'd choose this over mashed potatoes.

-After Arriving At School​-
After parking my car, I grabbed the food and my phone and headed inside. It was 11:13 A.M. About time for lunch. I walked in and headed into the lunchroom, but it
was already empty.

“I bought food, so we're eating it, regardless.”

I pulled out my phone and texted Avery.

Me: ​Go to the “bathroom.” Meet me in the cafeteria. I brought food :)

Avery: ​ON MY WAY!!
