"You don't look South African"
"And you Dont look as dumb as you sound , How did you get this job?" I asked the receptionist at the counter
"I'm sorry, the doctor will be right out" she said uneasily
I waited for a while , despite what "right out" meant. I was just hear to get an update on my dads blood work results before we fly out next week
"Ayodele Isiah"
I walked back there and waited in his office"How are you today?" He smiled politely
"Just ready to go. I've been here all morning "
"Well let's just get your dad's files and discuss this situation."

"It can't be this time already, can it? Can he fly ?" I asked looking at the results"By the time we caught it , it was too late . I advise you to settle him somewhere comfortable, and yes he's able to fly . But, I don't think it would be most comfortable in his condition " he looked at me with sad eyes, caressed my shoulder then left.
I exited the hospital and got in my white jeep that was parked way across the lot . I got in the car and put the keys in the ignition but did not start it, instead I laid my head against the steering wheel .What the hell are we gonna do ? I started the car and made my way home, we gotta leave today .
"Hello Afalin ? It's time" I breathe out
"Pack your bags and tell Amaor we're leaving, meet us on the landing strip in 2 hours "

"Are you guys ready?" My seventeen year old sister Ayan asked but her question was ignored"Patrick why don't you want to be buried here?" My ma questioned , hurriedly handing our butler Travis both his and her bags "Ayodele did call your brothers?"
"Yes ma " I assured her
"It's cheaper " he slowly walked with his cane out their room
"With what you do money is the least of our problems, we have enough to maintain our life style and take care of our great grandkids! " she yelled after him
He started to say something but I left out the sliding doors , pulling Ayan with me. We helped Travis package our bags on the golf carts . Ayan and i only had 3 together but my ma had 2 and with all papas medicine and his ventilator he had 4.
We strapped 4 In the back one and 5 in the back of the other . I saw papa walking down the patio stairs and and Travis quickly tried to help but he only waved him off saying he's fine .
I helped him in the golf cart and was about to get in mine but my ma was already seated there with Ayan
"What chu doing?" I looked at her confused
"Maybe you should ride with him" she looked over at what used to be the cart they were riding in and patted my shoulder
"I just got word that the pilots ready" Travis said as he hugged papa and whispered something in his ear
I nodded and jogged my way to the golf cart and started it up.
"Are you ready?" I asked my papa
"I'm not going to be ready til we go home " he smiled and whispered something in our native language
"You have a lot to look forward to when I'm gone " he looked at me smiling
I was confused but maybe ignorance is bliss. But Pulling away to the runaway , ideas roamed through my head .
