"Myra Welch," Professor Tate called from the front of the room.

I stood up from my desk and walked towards him. "Yes?"

"Your choice for job shadowing was approved this morning. You start tomorrow, early," he said, handing me a file of information.

I grinned and opened up the file, peering at the information. "Awesome, thank you so much, Professor Tate."

"You're welcome. You'll be meeting Agent Aaron Hotchner and his team. You will get to experience first-hand what it's like to profile a real crime. Be ready to get right down to work and do not get in their way. Do you understand?"

I gulped and nodded. "Of course. I'm ready for this. That's why I chose it."

He placed his hand on my shoulder. "This will be a long month for you. But I believe in you."

I arrived at the Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico at approximately 6 a.m. I pulled down my tight pencil skirt and observed myself in the bathroom mirror. My light blue blouse matched the color of my eyes, making them more evident. I had put light makeup on, almost regretting it now because of how young it made me look. My long dark hair fell close to my waist, and luckily had cooperated with me whenever I straightened it.

I grabbed my satchel, checking to make sure my notebook and pencil was in there, and exited the bathroom, hoping I wouldn't get lost. There was a lot of action in this building, desks everywhere with people talking on the phone and running around holding files in their hands. The atmosphere meant business, that's for sure.

I had no idea how to find Aaron Hotchner, and I silently panicked. I approached a young woman sitting at a desk.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for an Agent Aaron Hotchner." I said.

"Ah, yes, Agent Hotchner. Right this way." she said, standing up and walking towards an office up the stairs.

I followed behind as she stopped in front of a door. "This is his office."

"Thank you," I said, giving her a smile as she walked away.

I knocked on the door, and a middle-aged man with dark hair opened the door. He was slightly intimidating, I will admit, and he definitely screamed FBI Agent.

"Yes?" he asked, observing me.

I wiped my sweaty hands on my skirt before reaching out to shake his hand. "Uh hello, I'm Myra Welch. I'm the college student that requested to job shadow your team."

"Of course. We've been expecting you. I'm Agent Aaron Hotchner, call me Hotch." he gave me a smile, which seemed like a rare thing for him. I gladly returned the smile.

"I'm very excited to be here, Hotch." I said.

"Well, I'll introduce you to the rest of the team." he said, heading down the stairs and into a room.

I followed closely behind him, and scanned the room before me.

"Everyone, there's someone I need to introduce you to." Hotch said, closing the door behind him.

"Miss Welch, this is Jennifer Jareau. She is our liaison who handles the media." Hotch said.

The blonde haired woman shook my hand and smiled. "Call me JJ."

I nodded as another woman approached me. "I'm Emily Prentiss," she said.

"Myra," I said, shaking her hand.

"David Rossi," an older man with dark hair and a beard said, giving me a warm smile.

"Penelope Garcia, we've been so excited to meet you!" the woman with the glasses and bright colored outfit said, embracing me in a tight hug.
