Adriana's pov

After landing safely i collected my luggage and left the airport ,i felt really excited after all the time dreaming about this place I am finally here. I left the airport and hired a taxi, now coming out of my day dreaming I realized I do not have a place to stay. I think I should first go to the college to get the admission procedure done and then ask someone for a flat on rent. I told the taxi driver to drop me at the college, the scenery of California is amazing and I kept admiring the infrastructure all along the way. The driver then took a sharp turn towards the right this area seems pretty less populated with only a few buildings in sight surrounded by the thick forest. There was much greenery in this area and it is truly breathtakingly calm and peaceful.

I felt strangely safe and protected,though I have not been in woods much, I have gone with my family to the wildlife sanctuary and found the wood there dangerous but strangely I am not felling scared rather the woods fell quite welcoming. I was confused by by sudden attraction towards the woods when the taxi stopped , I pushed by thoughts aside maybe it's all because of the excitement of being here affecting my mind. I paid the taxi driver and started moving towards the entrance.

The main building was a modern one story after passing the main building there was a large ground in the middle stood a Victorian building.The infrastructure of the university was pretty impressive. After having a view of the campus i went to the the reception and submitted the required documents, the receptionist informed that the classes would start after one month. The only thing left for me to worry about is where am I going to stay now if I thing it was quite reckless of me to come without properly arranging for accommodation but this is all useless now I have to find some place soon for it is starting to get dark. I left the university to grab something to eat quickly on way before I start my search for a flat on rent. I stopped at Starbucks and ordered some french fries and coffee after eating I paid and came out, when I came outside I felt quite lost never in my life would have I thought I would be in a situation like this a lump formed in my throat and tears threatened to spill I felt so lonely despite of being angry at my family is couldn't help but feel lonely. A pained grunt of someone brought me out of my thoughts standing a few feet away from me was a beautiful girl she had long blonde with curls hairs vibrant blue eyes curves at all right places she was a definition of hot and sexy.she was wearing tight black jeans and a black leather jacket completing the bad ass look she was perfect in all sense of the world the boys present nearby couldn't keep their eyes of her. I watched her for quite some time it was completely dark now but I could still see a huge gash running along from topof her hand till the elbow blood was flowing from it. I went up to her she looked in pain and before i could know what i am saying the words already flew out of my mouth so much for being civil great now i look like an idiot.
"It's very deep and if not treated properly will get infected I can help you if you want"she seem surprised by my sudden intrusion, she watched me intently for a while I was starting to get uncomfortable by the amount of intensity her eyes held it felt life those vibrant blue eyes were staring right through my soul after some time she said "fine " neither of us spoke while I attended to her wound, normally I am not a very talkative person but something about her felt different I felt like I have a connection with her that I could trust her "Don't put too much pressure on this arm and I have only done a temporary first aid you should get it checked in a hospital " thanks, I will what is your name i saw you standing her for quite some time " she asked me with slight curiosity. " my name is Adriana and I am new here is was trying to find a place stay" i told her " so did you find any place" she asked "no I'll just have to stay in a hotel for tonight and start my search tomorrow "oh" she said. We stood there for a good minute like that i drifted back to my thoughts of how am i going to survive here will i regret my discussion of coming here just like my dad said."hey are you okay " this snapped me out of my thoughts "huh"was all i replied "you completely zoned out are you alright'' "yeah i am alright ,sorry what were you saying" she look at me like she didn't believe me but spoke "i am also new here and have a room extra if you want you can stay there" i couldn't bring myself to bring to believe that she offered me a place that i so desperately needed when i am only a stranger to her and we just met i kept staring her making sure that she in real was standing in front of me and i am not dreaming. "so do you want to stay or not" she asked again irritation lacing her words even though she was irritated i couldn't help but notice slight hope in her tone as if she wanted me to stay with her but i am not sure about it not wanting to pass such a nice offer i spoke with as much grateful as i could "yes thank you very much i will pay you the rent on time i promise" " we'll see about that later get in the car its getting late" i was a little confused by here statement but nevertheless garbed my luggage and put it in her car while she drove us out of the parking lot. I just now realized that i didn't even ask her name and she has practically offered me a place to stay so turning towards her i asked "um you know in my shock i forgot to ask your name" see i am socially awkward well now she will surely regret ever offering me her place to share she briefly glanced my way and focused back on the road but i could see her lips twitch at the corner in small smile and her eyes twinkling in amusement and she finally answered "hi i am Clarissa Maclarian your new roommate"

Clarissa's pov

I left yet another city. Of course my temper got the best of me like always I was a threat to their pack since I am a rogue well if u haven't guessed i am a werewolf and a powerful one at that thanks to my father i have beta blood flowing through my veins the only thing to thank my father for. Well at least I left those stupid people giving them what they deserve but the only downside to this is my injured hand and let me tell you it pains like hell. After entering California I was quite hungry and decided to eat something to eat first and of course to think what to do next. California is home to the most powerful and ruthless pack in the world the Black mountain pack, their alpha Derek black is the most powerful alpha it is said that he is as cold as an iceberg he even defeated royal alpha king Xavier who might i add before losing was the most powerful alpha and ruled over all the packs across the world. Since I am here now I have to ask permission to stay on their land not just that I will have to control my anger because one mistake will cost me my life. Well as I stopped at Starbucks I saw a beautiful girl with long black curly hairs tanned skin around my height and age standing lost in her own thoughts seems like she was thinking about something really hard. She was oblivious to all the male attention she was getting,the boys were as if in a trance and kept staring at her. I don't know what was that about her but my Wolf felt protective over her I was stunned by the sudden onslaught of emotion my Wolf never showed affection in a long time. She looked so innocent and fragile standing there all alone. Ignoring her I went inside and bought something to eat my mind kept drifting back to her she was still standing completely zoned out. The waitresses was giving me weird look because of my wound but chose not to speak seeing my glare. I went to my car I am really getting late and the wound was getting on my nerves bloody asshole did have a good aim ,while I was examining the wound the girl came out of nowhere offering to help with the wound. I don't know why did I offered her to stay with me but I did and surprisingly her company felt comfortable. She is so sweet and well mannered and of course the first person in a long time who has not irritated my Wolf and me I glanced at her a few times she was sold asleep must have been tired ,she is from India though its hardly believable as she has quite a fair skin and surprisingly her accent was also barely noticeable and is going to attend the same the same university as me well this going to be fun but I need to get the formality with the pack done as soon as possible. This year is going to be different I can just tell. Lets just hope that i am not making a mistake by allowing her in my life especially after being alone for so long and having nothing to care about. "Don't worry Clair she is different i can feel it trust me i don't know but she feels like a sibling and i feel so protective of her " my wolf said "of course i trust you and even i feel so" my wolf instincts have never betrayed me and she is sensible between the two of us. I will protect her but it will be harder to keep my secret as she is a human i sighed i seem to to that a lot lately finally the exhaustion was taking its toll on me. i finally reached my destination, i twas a simple wooden cabin near the woods and near the college as well ,i woke Adriana up telling her that we will take the luggage out in the morning and unpack. The cabin was simple and elegant yet had a very warm and homey atmosphere it had a modern kitchen living room and two bedrooms. I opened the guestroom and helped Adri in it she is already half asleep and was out like a light just as her head hit the pillow i pulled the blankets over her and watched how peaceful and innocent she looked while is sleeping my instincts told me to protect her from the harsh world and with that thought in my mind i left her room went to the master bedroom striped out of my clothes and let the darkness consume me.
