2-Alone, I thought.

It's been a month since I read that message from Luke. He hasn't come to school, none of the Brook brothers have. I've been beaten up everyday. People tried to befriend me, but I just pushed them away. I didn't want to be friends with anyone, I just wanted to be friends with Luke.

I was alone.

Finally, the last day of school was over. I walked home in the nice spring weather. Not too cold, not to hot. Just warm with a slight breeze. I hate summer. Having to shave your legs and loose weight so you can have that 'summer body' and not to mention sweating like a pig is not my cup of tea. I'm more of a winter person, you know, cuddles, beanies, cute oversized sweaters...

I reached the huge building. As I walked towards the elevator, I pressed onto the button. The elevator door opened, and there stood Luke. My heart started to pound. We both made eye contact for a second, before he quickly hit the numbers on the elevator wall.

The door started closing and I finally snapped out of my gaze. "Oh no you don't," I mumbled, throwing myself between the elevator door, making it open again.

Luke sighed and threw his head back.  "Luke, can you please just explain!?" I yelled, throwing my hands up in the air.

"Explain what?" His husky voice spoke, the voice that I missed so much.

"Why you decided that we weren't going to be friends anymore! And where have you been!?" I exclaimed.

Luke sighed in frustration. "I've been nowhere." He said, the frustration clear in his tone.

"You obviously have been somewhere! Where have you been!? Why do you hate me!? Why-"

"NO WHERE! I'VE BEEN FUCKING NO WHERE!" Luke shoved me against the wall, making me whimper in pain. His hands were on his shoulders, holding me back, his touch was ice cold. I knew Luke had a short temper, but I never knew he would shove me the second round.

He kept his eyes on mine, panting in anger. I wanted to get out of his grip, but it was too tight. I was scared. This wasn't the Luke I loved.

"P-Please, Luke, please let me go. I'm sorry, you won't see me again." I said on the verge of tears, my voice cracking.

"Wait," He said, letting go of me and standing straight. But I ignored him and ran out of the elevator, down the corridors and to my apartment.

As I sat on my bed, I couldn't stop thinking about Luke. How pale he suddenly turned when he shoved me, and how cold his touch was.

And when he told me to wait, but I had ignored him. What if I stayed? What was he going to say, or do?

"Harmony," A voice sang from the living room.

"Yes mum?" I answered.

"Have you seen my stash of Jack Daniels?" She asked me. I rolled my eyes. She really needed to stop drinking and get help.

"No." I lied. I had hid them under the bathroom sink cabinet.

"I know you're lying, Missy." My door swung open and there stood my mum, her skin pale, her eyes black.

She smirked at me, making me back away shocked. She didn't look human at all. She looked dead. "Mum?"

"Yes sweetie?" She cocked her head to the side and smiled at me. I shook my head.

"You're not my mother." I said, anger rising up in me.

Her smile faded away into a frown. "Yes I am..." An demonic deep voice spoke. She started walking towards me slowly. With every step she took closer to me, my anger started to turn into fear. Soon she stood over me.

Before I could do anything, she had her grip on my neck and held me up in the air, making me hang. I couldn't breathe.

"Now, be a good girl and let me feed off you." Her breath smelled like blood, and dead. Her mouth stretched open, and I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the worst.

Suddenly, she let out a bone chilling scream, and dropped me to the ground. I gasped for air and held my neck.

She turned around so her back was facing me, and I noticed the long deep claw marks that ran from her neck down to her waist. I watched as my mother withered away.

"Mum? MUM!" I cried, collapsing to the floor and patting the spot where she vanished.

"That wasn't your mother." A familiar voice spoke from the corner of the bedroom. I quickly turned to see Luke, standing there.

"What did you do!?"

"Save you."

"You killed my mum!"

"THAT WASN'T YOUR MUM!"

"Then what was it? Huh!?"

"A demon." I raised my eyebrow at him. Demons? I believed in ghosts and all, but I didn't think you could actually see them and that they were harmful.

"How did you get in my house anyway!?"

He ignored me and started to walk to my closet. He opened it and started to push through my clothes.

"What the fuck are you doing!?" I yell, walking towards him.

"Can you just shut the fuck up for a minute?" He yelled back, continuing to rummage through my things.

I sat with my arms crossed on my bed. I wanted to ask him what he was looking for, but I knew not yet.
