Maya. That's her name. The prettiest girl you have ever laid eyes on, well that's what I think anyway. I guess you could say I love her, or you could say I'm just using her because I have no one. I choose to believe that I love her.
"Jake?" her voice echoes in the empty house.
The reason I'm still alive, calling out to me and she doesn't even know I would dead by now if it weren't for her. She's completely clueless and I want to keep it that way. When I walk down the stairs and see her standing the sun shining through the back door hitting her, she looks like an angel. Of course I would never share these thoughts with her, I'm afraid it would scare her away. So instead I act like an asshole and she seems to like that just fine."Hey" I mutter, revealing a half smile. She just stands there staring at me with that goofy-dimpled smile of hers. I fall more in love with her every time I see her.
"I was just wondering if we were still on for that movie tonight?"
"Um, tonight?"
"Yeah you asked me to go see a movie with you tonight", her eyebrows furrowed and her smile faded. "Wow it's quiet in here" she mumbled, "Are you okay? Jacob?"
I had completely zoned out, like the idiot I was.
"U-uh yeah sorry I can tonight" I completely ignored her comment about it being quiet. It always was, but I didn't really mind. "I'll pick you up at 8".She knew nothing of my past life or my present really, I refused to tell her and she never pushed. That was another thing about her she was so understanding and kind hearted. When she knew it was a tough matter for me to talk about she would hold my hand or give me a hug and tell me "it's okay". I was in love, madly in love.
