For me, the long and pleasant afternoon was coming to an end, as the sun began to set within the orange-yellow sky. The drifting clouds’ vast texture was so detailed that I could almost taste the thickness of the black current in each dark plume. I admired the scenery from a balcony, in my beloved violet gown. I thought I felt the gentle breeze push back my long dark hair, but it was in fact his hands. He pulled me back towards him and as he spoke, he drowned me in his wine scented breath. It warmed me inside, like a kiss.
I felt God brake me out of his amorous grip, both physically and emotionally. God had betrayed me and answered their prayers. I found myself reaching out to him, but the harder I tried the more distant he became. I saw the light of my life, Elizabeth, crying in a stranger’s arms. It started out as a sweet dream, and tomorrow I die.
