"Did you open it?" I asked her. My mind was running around thinking of what it could possibly be.

"No, it's a gift to you, baby. Why would I open it? If you're so interested in knowing what it is, I suggest you coming here and finding out what it is yourself." I could sense her smirking.

"Well, I'm sure it's nothing. I promise I will try to visit soon though. I need to get through finals first," I chuckled through the phone. I opened the door to the coffeeshop, smelling the warm aroma through the air.

I hung up with her a few minutes after, getting in line to place my order. The entire time I was in that coffeeshop, I wondered what could be in that box. Why would he bring me a gift? Why did he even go over to dinner at my house? He never went after we stopped talking.

I tried to enjoy the rest of the time with my friends before having to go back to class. The rest of the day, I tried to focus on school, but it was hard. I had to go to work after class, which was something to look forward to I guess.

I got a job as a receptionist working for a popular psychiatrist who works with children. Not much, but I get college credit, and I also get to witness what goes down in the life of a psychiatrist. Also, I loved playing with the kids.

Today consisted of tons of paperwork to get signed, some lost files I had to hunt down, and a set of parents that were not happy about the time they had to spend waiting for the doctor. By the time I got to my apartment that evening, I was exhausted.

I loved my apartment. It was so cute and cozy. I got to design it the way I wanted to. It's a perfect place to unwind after a busy day. I definitely don't regret making the decision to moving out of the dorms.

I decided to take a bath to calm myself. I played some music, and lit a candle nearby. I grabbed my favorite Lush bath bomb and threw it in the water, admiring the swirls it created. I undressed and put my hair in a messy bun, then getting into the hot water.

The feeling of a hot bath after a long day is so relieving. After my bath, I put on my sweatpants and a University of Washington sweatshirt, with some slippers. Then, I made myself some dinner, and decided it was time to study. I studied for about 2 hours when the lights suddenly went out. I groaned to myself, getting up to light the fireplace and a few more candles around the apartment. I got some cozy blankets and spread them across the floor, bundling myself up in one of them.

It was maybe another hour of studying when I heard my doorbell ring. Weird, I thought. I got up to open the door when I saw someone I was not expecting to see.

"You're here?" I said, astonished.

"I'm here," he smiled back.

Oh my god.
