Chapter 7

> Kaitlin's POV <

I just sat there on the couch, thinking about what happened.

Louis kept bugging me about the damn candy so I threw it at him and walked away. I wasn't it a very good mood.

I jogged to my room, and pushed the door back... Only to hear a thud and "Ow!" I spun around to see Harry rubbing his forehead. "Fuck!"

I put my hand over my mouth, "Whoops."

Harry looked at me with a hard it expression, but it quickly softened. "It's fine, love."

My heart fluttered.

No.

Nope.

Never.

Never in a million years.

Being the directioner I am, I imagined Zayn saying that in the BSE music video...

This wasn't going to be one of those cliché fan fictions, where I fall for Harry Styles. Bla bla blah bla. No.

Just no.

"Kaitlin, what's wrong?"

"I'm sorry, Harry. I shouldn't have to dump all this on you; you don't deserve it."

"Save it. Tell me," Harry said, I looked at his face to see a concerned expression.

"It's just... That was my father at the park. He left my mother and I when I was 9."

Harry's eyes widened.

"He used to hit me, and when my mum found out she was mad so he left the next day without a word. The next 6 months my mum was diagnosed with brain cancer."

I smiled weakly at him, "They gave her a year or so to live."

"She's been dealing with this... For 10 years?"

I nodded. "She could die anyway now. I don't care if she does die. My mum will always be a survivor in my heart." I paused. "And now that I know about my dad.. I'm just really confused about everything."

Harry nodded quietly, "Well I just want you to know, I'm here for you, Kaitlin."

Before I realized what I was doing I pulled him into a hug. He was tense at first, but quickly relaxed and put his arms around my small waist.

"Thank you," I whispered. He nodded and buried his face in my hair.

"Hey- OHMYGOD!!! A KARRY MOMENT!!!" I looked up to see Louis standing there, yelling like an actual fangirl.

"The fuck, Louis?"

Louis just skipped over to me, "Don't hurt my Hazza Bear."

I laughed at patted his head, "You and your crazy ideas."

But part of me wondered. Will I actually fall for Harry Styles?
