Mitches POV
My mind was in a whirl , does he feel the same way ? Or have I caused him so much pain ? Jeromes eyes begin to water, as I sit there in confusion. What did he think of me ? Before I know it I'm hugging him.... I don't know why but the warmth of Jerome makes me want to hold on forever. I'm pushed away by a pair rough hands
" I know what your doing ! Your being all sympathetic then you're gonna call a mental hospital behind my back , I'm not mad ! I love you , but clearly you don't either "
Tears spill from my eyes as Jerome runs into his room.
He loves me ?
He loves me !
He actually does !
Jerome POV
I've blown it ! I just told my best friend I love him.... Great going Jerome ! My heart is in pieces , not only does my crush probably hate me , I lost my best friend , I remember when we met in 4th grade
* flashback*
I walk slowly down the hallway on my first day. I just had to get sent to a new school halfway through a freaking year ! People push past me and laugh but I put on a brave face. " hey big nose ! " and " why are you here weirdo " are comments I have heard so much today they don't pain me... They irritate me !
A boy about my size walks over , obviously one of the ' cool kids ' I expect him to shout at or hurt me but instead , he smiles , " hey biggums " I see jelouse look begin shot from every one in the hall " lemme show you around " he says with a large grin and I knew , from that day , I had a friend .
* flashback over *
Mitches POV
I slowly walk into jeromes room to hear quiet sobbing. I walk in without bothering to knock , he looks up , his face stained with tears. I sit next to him on the bed and put my arm around his shoulders , which he ignores .
" look I know you think I'm mad , I probably am but I'd appreciate if you left me - "
I crash me lips into his scilencing him and showing him I care , two birds with one stone. Our lips move in sync and he slowly breaks apart
" you love me back " he says his voice barely a whisper
" always " I smile
