Th sun shined through deans windows as he was determined to dodge them. He hid his face under a pillow after a loud growl. The alarm rang through the halls of his house that was too big for one person. "Dammit" he muttered checking the time. He was going to be late if he didnt get up now. Hopping out of bed and directly into the shower, Dean blasted Night Ranger through his surround sound. Dean sang along, luckily no one was there to listen. He got out and proceeded to continue getting ready for a day at Seattle Mercy Hospital.
___________________________________________"Charlie. C'mon don't cry." Cas said sitting next to her. Acute myeloid leukemia. That's what the doctor said. Cas was only 27 and he got diagnosed with leukemia.
"How can I not? My /best friend/ has cancer!" A silent tear snaked down her cheek.
Cas wiped it away as fast as it ran down. "I'll be alright. They said they caught it early. Cmon. Cheer up. I have to go see the oncologist today. " he smiled weakly trying as hard as he could to cheer her up.
Charlie managed to pull herself together.
Castiel looked at her with a smile tugging at his lips. "I gotta go get outta these sweats. Stay here." He hugged her quickly and escaped to the bedroom. Tight black shirt, darker blue jeans, and boots. That was what Cas picked out for the day. The shirt matched his dark hair, which made his blue eyes pop. He went back out to charlie. "Do you want to come with or stay?" He asked with a sensitive tone. "It's okay if you wanna stay charlie." He smiled.
She smiled weakly. "I wish I could, but my boss has been bogging my was for weeks now. I'll call right after I promise."
Castiel nodded as she stood from the couch to hug him. After a long hug and a few more tears shed, she left for work.
___________________________________________Dean finished organizing his desk from the day before. He sat in his peaceful office to prepare for his first appointment with Castiel Novak. Dean adjusted his tie on his shirt, brushing his fingers through his darker blonde hair. The sun started to shine through the large bay window overlooking the rest of Seattle. It was rare to see sun, but as it hit deans gorgeously green eyes, he couldn't help but look at the beautiful sky occupying the window.
Dean heard his door open when a younger man came walking in. Dean stood at the sight of this man. From his hair to his eyes, Dean couldn't take his eyes off of him. Cas looked at dean, equally amazed.
"Uh hi, I'm dean winchester. You must be Mr. Novak." Dean barely spat out in one sentence.
Cas snapped back into reality. "Yeah, call me Cas. " Cas smiled charmingly. At last till he remembered the reason for the appointment.
"Have a seat" Dean motioned to the seat across the desk as he took his own.
"Thank you" he smiled at dean as he received one in return.
"So I took a look at your file, and with the progress of the cancer, I would assume chemo would be the best rout to tackle this cancer before it decides to spread." He said right off the bat.
"Alright when would I start?"
"Well we would start you off-" cas started to completely lose focus. Deans voice was husky, and sweet at the same time. The way all of his words rolled off his lips was distracting to say the least. He tuned back in after Dean snapped him out of it.
"Make sense?" Dean asked with a brighter tone.
"Uh yeah, so I start today?"
"Right" Dean replied. He also got lost in Castiel's bright blue oceanic eyes. They sat in silence for a moment when Cas snapped out of it.
"Alright," he stood from the cheap chair, "which way is chemo?" He said pointing with both hands in opposite directions.
Dean smiled lightly "Uh this way. I'll show you" he led him to the chemo room as Cas got his treatment.A while later Dean returns to his ofice.
*first person dean*
Jesus christ, he was cute. But I'm straight right? Anyone who saw those blue eyes would be weak at the knees. Anyone.
* end of first person*
Dean smiled to himself as rustled through the papers on his desk.
