Olivia just zipped her suitcase and dragged it out of her little shoe box apartment in New York. She was off to her home town for the summer, Santa Barbara in California. It has been 8 years since she left her home because of the incident that humiliated her enough to make her want to leave. She trudged her luggage out, in front of her apartment building where she called a taxi to come and pick her up.
The taxi arrived after 15 minutes and she was on her way to the John F. Kennedy International Airport. Thankfully, she was a successful artist exhibiting her work all over New York, so she was able to pay for a business ticket on her flight.
She was now sitting in her seat reading a Vogue magazine, waiting for the plane to take off. Olivia still had doubts why she was going back to the place she swore to never return to. It was too late, now. She had to go through with it. She couldn't let the past consume her on the inside for the rest of her life.
The plane has taken off and Olivia was now on her way to her home. She decided to watch her TV shows and sleep a bit.
Once the plane started to land, Olivia adjusted her seat, and started packing her things to get off the plane without a crowd. All she needed to pack was her laptop, magazines, and her Beats earphones.
As soon as she was in the LA/Ontario International Airport, she went through a couple of hallways until she found her luggage belt. Her luggage belt was number 2 from New York. She didn't get a luggage trolley as she only had her big suitcase, a roller that she took with her on the plane, and her Ted Baker purse.
Suddenly, Olivia spotted her black suitcase with the rose gold zippers with a suitcase tag from her work company that obviously said her name. Olivia rolled it along with her matching roller and purse.
Olivia pulled all her luggages to the car rentals area where she rented her favourite car, a matte black 2016 Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Black was Olivia's favourite colour.
As soon as Olivia got out into the parking lot she saw one the the people she was happiest to see. Her best friend, Isabelle Sparks. They have been friends so long that they don't remember how they met. They have our very own unique nicknames that they call each other by. Even their mothers were best friends. Isabelle is from Spain and she works at UCLA as a music teacher with her on and off boyfriend, Rafael Trent. He is half French and half American. They seem cute together, but always have a reason to make drama.
"My Cacus, you're here!" Olivia screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Oh my God, Caca, I've missed you so much!" Isabelle replied.
"How are you? How's life?" Olivia asked.
"You know the usual. Work at UCLA, Rafael and I are back together, and my family is well. What about you?" Isabelle responded.
"Same here, working my art all over New York, still single, but you basically know all of this since we Skype every single damn day." Olivia said.
"Yeah, of course, but it's different now that you're finally back, we can spend time like we used to. I don't want to be the one to bring this up, but have you figured out what you're gonna do when you see you know who?" Isabelle questioned.
"Ugh, I knew you were going to ask about him. I honestly have no idea. I just hope I have the longest amount of time before I see him." Olivia confessed.
"Good luck with that." Isabelle stated.
Olivia was confused about what Isabelle meant, but she ignored it and they were on their way to Olivia's house.
